He is known for each one of his stops, including Tech and Kentucky, to have NCAA issues and issues with player mistreatment. And, the issues with the DUI and drinking. That's nuts. He had a really nice 4 year run at utep and a&m. Tons of 1 pt losses in the tourney. Looks like his career is about over as a HC
LOL. Kelvin "failed" at OU?I meant Moser, .. but yeah .. also Kelvin, also Billy (if we go back that far). Candidates won’t look at it from our pov .. they will look at a job that even FF coaches have failed in or been yeeted from. New AD has a real job to do to convince ppl with any proven lineage to walk into that.

Hes 4th in the league actually with a winning record of 16-14. This program has won like double digit games like twice since 2018.. from my quick Google research, id say hes done like a 6.5/10 this year, close to a 7 maybe. Maybe better honestly (also depends on the finish)When does Doug Gottlieb get fired? This is so I can continue to ignore his radio show.
ThisI'm guessing he meant that neither Billy nor Kelvin left OU on the best of terms. With Kelvin, it was rather nitpicky with the texts that violated the recruiting rules. Billy literally "burned out" at OU (per his words) mostly due to the fact that many of the JUCO guys he recruited to OU were no longer eligible. It seems like he and his superiors wore each other down and an exit was inevitable. Obviously, any animosity with either head coach didn't last very long.
I remember right after Billy was let go by TCU, Kelvin asked him to speak to his 2002 team right before the start of the NCAA tournament. Billy told them to not make the same mistake he did back in 1990. They went into the dance as the #1 overall seed, but being closer to home than most tournaments, there were a lot of distractions. He told them to avoid them and be serious about the tournament. Hollis took it to heart and said his girlfriend called and he wouldn't pick up. I think that whole thing was the first big step that got Billy back into the OU world.

Billy Gillispie has had to step away from Tarleton at least twice in the last three years due to "health issues". Perhaps they have to do with drinking. I don't know. I've never heard any specifics. That's nuts. He had a really nice 4 year run at utep and a&m. Tons of 1 pt losses in the tourney. Looks like his career is about over as a HC
Billy and Eustachy were at one time two of the best coaches out there…both careers suffered due to their issues though.Billy Gillispie has had to step away from Tarleton at least twice in the last three years due to "health issues". Paging Joe CastiglioneProps to them for realizing it’s not working after three years rather than extending him.
For English? If so, I wonder if some of their fans will argue that he should keep his job if he wins their last game and one or two in the Big East tourney.Google says 8-11 mil buyout
