2025 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16

Arkansas way more talented but calipari snatches defeat from jaws of victory again. Tale as old as time with him.
I can't argue with that...still hold a grudge against him for Memphis choking away the title game against Kansas back in 2008. I still can't believe he hasn't won more than one Natty with all that talent at Kentucky. All that said, Arkansas was a #10 seed and made the Sweet 16. OU has been a #10 four times and is 0-4. Also, Cal has won about 60 NCAA Tournament games...a lot more than our Sooners have won. Back when I lived in upstate NY, I attended the OU-UMass game in 1992 - pre Marcus Camby, and UMass wiped the floor with us. Four years later, Cal had that school in the Final Four. As such, it's difficult for me to not hold him in high regard.

they were a 10 because they underperformed all year long ..

If Moser had Arkansas roster they would still be dancing imo. Doesn’t mean he is the best bench coach out there but he is better than Calipari.
Agree to disagree. Arky has some talent but isn't exactly loaded. They and Tech probably each have a couple draft picks but not lottery guys, and Arkansas played most of the season without their freshman PG. Moser had a couple guys who may play in the NBA on last year's team and his "dancing" ended on a Wednesday in KC.

Since it’s apparently impossible to view the tournament without the prism of Porter, I would also take Arkansas’ roster this season over OU’s last year.

Their front court seems like a big step up and a healthy Thiero seems much better than anything OU had last year (non-conference Oweh or Moore seem like step downs). I get Oweh, Moore, Uzan are potential NBA guys to varying degrees but still seems like a step down with Godwin especially.

Defining “loaded” is a difference of semantics but would say better than 2023-2024 OU for sure. Not necessarily surprising considering the resource differences and coaching pedigree.
