Since it’s apparently impossible to view the tournament without the prism of Porter, I would also take Arkansas’ roster this season over OU’s last year.

Their front court seems like a big step up and a healthy Thiero seems much better than anything OU had last year (non-conference Oweh or Moore seem like step downs).

Defining “loaded” is a difference of semantics but would say better than 2023-2024 OU for sure. Not necessarily surprising considering the resource differences and coaching pedigree.

In terms of raw talent, there is no comparison between this Arkansas roster and any roster Moser has ever had.

Fland, Wagner, aidoo, Richmond, Knox were all 5 stars recruits. Johnell Davis was the best player from the FAU final four team. This is what a $10 million roster looks like.

Arkansas vastly underperformed for much of the season. They had so much talent in the roster. There’s actually a documentary about Arkansas’s season on Vice (I think). It’s free on YouTube. Calipari mentioned multiple times that thought they had as much talent as anyone in the country but they didn’t play like it. Definitely more talent than OU last year.

Okay. I should have said very hypothetically but....Fears wasn't a lottery pick when OU took him.

If I had to pick, I would have preferred Pedulla.

I love the fact that Kentucky gets whipped by all the top tier SEC teams. Just a reminder of where they’re at. Better than OU? Sure. Top tier? Not even close!

Texas Tech having his prep coach was pretty big along with the bag Overton got thrown. I thought him, Pedulla, and Garrison would have all been interesting transfers.

They went 3-3 against the top four teams in the regular season. Not too shabby IMHO
