Now that this unbelievably frustrating season is officially over, I'm wondering who is coming back next year. I see the seniors on the roster, but I'm not sure who is out of eligibility. Does anyone know who is eligible to return? I cant remember who participated in Senior Night.

Sorry if this is already posted somewhere and I'm just not seeing it.

In a typical year, Moser is able to maybe keep one or two players who actually matter. I expect nothing different.

Eligible to return: Forsythe, Brown, Reid, Rogers, Atak, Holst, and some debate on Kirill.

incoming: Gage Mayfield.

Would be highly unlikely all of those are on the roster though in this age of sports. This is unfortunately true at OU or anywhere else, especially in basketball.

Not to be a downer but does it matter? Like at all?

We were all STOKED about the portal class last year. Can only go so far with an atrocious coach.
Before the season, I posted that i wouldn't prolly be fully satisfied with just a sweet 16 appearance.. how pie in the sky i was about the portal class and rogers..

What a joke

Need to keep Brown, Reid, and Jones. Everyone else is expendable.

Does he not have an extra year for COVID year? I know he sat out injured last year....

Brown, Reid, rogers imo. Idk if we can keep the Russian, but if so, absolutely. Anyone else can go. Forsythe if hes reasonable otherwise I think we can upgrade for less $$. I'm not as big on atak as others and neither is porter apparently..

Nwankwo HAS TO GO.

I think Brown & Forsythe are back. Everyone else I think will either test the waters or be shown the door.

I didn’t notice Nwankwo on the bench in Nashville, so I think he’s for sure gone.

He played four years at LBSU. First year there was his COVID year. Now has spent two years at OU and got a medical redshirt in one.

Atak looked like he could really play but then he was benched for several games. No explanation as to why he wasn’t playing. I’d say keep him but it’s dumb to pay a guy if moser isn’t going to play him.

I am all for Atak staying if we can find a coach to teach him how to play defense. I will add that I think his D got better as the season moved on but it was still bad. But, yes, if he can play good enough D he certainly gives our opponents something to worry about when he is in the game.

Theres a guy in Nashville that plays hard and makes shots we should go after. I think his name rhymes with Muke Diles

Brown - Shouldn't be hard to keep. His step-father is an assistant and I think he's going to get the "Fears role" next year.

Reid - We should try to keep. Unique size/athleticism. I don't think he's some great/unreplaceable player, but we should retain him if possible.

Rogers - I've voiced my opinion of him. I'm not sure he is athletic enough to succeed in the SEC. That said, I don't think you let him walk unless he wants starter money.

The Russian - You keep him if he has any eligibility left.

Forsythe - I'm fine keeping, but he's a career backup in the SEC

Atak/Nwankwo - I'd let them both walk. Atak is never going to defend well enough, or probably be anything but a shooter. Nwankwo just doesn't look good enough any more.

Holst - I don't think he is what we need, but if he is cheap (free?) we should probably keep him.
