Brown is so underrated by this fanbase

i disagree. i think most fans think he's a pretty good player.
but kentucky is on a different level. they get 5star/one and done/future nba players.
brown is not that. oweh was not that.
again...whoever is evaluating talent for them is not too sharp. they way overpaid for their roster based on the results.

i don't remember any **** talking about ty or reaves abilities/skills.
there were people who blamed ty for the chemistry issues on that team.
with reaves......some people were turned off by a pasty white dude doing the throat slash thing....
wasn't a good look for a kruger coached team

A lot of people didn’t realize how good Reaves was and thought he shot too much. They were wrong and I disagreed with them from the outset but I didn’t feel like many people were over the top with their criticism.

Supposedly he was offered the Fears role. Didn't really see it this year, but I've been guessing we'd see it more next year. If he (they) leave, it's because they don't have faith in Porter, not chasing dollars.

Yep this is my biggest fear. Denny admits the obvious about the program needing more out of the admin, and BMDs, but can’t deliver the support and resources he said needed to happen.

As a result, even with an incremental uptake, we are stuck in the same place next year because nothing off the court- and on the court- really improved.

If he made his decision and made it public, I would hope he had gathered support and dollars behind the scenes to implement it.

That would mean going into next season with bottom 1/4 NIL, which means the lack of ability to either retain current players or finally get missing pieces. It would mean no GM, no added staff, no money for better scheduling…. All adds up to more of the same.

And would mean he didn’t deliver either.

I hope we can keep brown, Reid, Atak, and rogers. Would love to have healthy Forsythe back too. Mayfield should be able to be a back of lineup (8th or 9th guy).

Priorities have to be a starting 5 and a SG and one more 2/3.

Give me those 4 listed + Dayton and grab a good shooting guard and a proven scoring big man (probably two tbh) with whatever we can spend and find 3 others to fill out the roster. No clue if a 4 star wing HS recruit can contribute, but I've seen lower rated guys play impactful minutes as freshman this year in the SEC and across the country.

Maybe Gage Mayfield can help right away and Rogers takes a step in development.

Yep. I will definitely pay close attention to our portal additions and subtractions, and I’ll watch every minute of every game next season like always. But it floors me that people will somehow convince themselves that the results will be any different once meaningful games start. I can already anticipate a thread in Oct. about how good the team looked in a scrimmage or fake game, and how Mayfield looks like he will be a big contributor. And my oh my, have you seen how athletic we are? This is going to be our deepest team since 89-90!! We are legitimately 10 deep, I don’t envy Moser having to figure out the rotation with this many good players!!

It’s funny, when Coach posted on the game thread immediately after the latest collapse and was focused on next season, I didn’t see you tell him to stay on topic and only talk about last night’s game.

The inescapable fact is that the most important person on next year’s roster is the same guy it’s been for the past five years. So any discussion of the roster simply can’t be separated from a discussion of how said roster will be used.
