2026-2027 Roster?

Isn't developing young talent looking to the future part of the duties of a coaching staff? Is this staff doing that?

Ugh...Atak was a guy I hope would stay and continue to develop. You can't blame him for leaving, though. If many on this Board were questioning his inconsistent playing time / rotation, you can bet his inner circle was doing the same. If this guy can figure out how to play even average defense, he could be a major addition to some program.
Atak will play in the NBA .. IMHO

I'd pump the brakes on Mayfield being much of a factor next season. Reasons why:

1. Super young. Just turned 18 last month.
2. Not a super skilled guy. Not a greater shooter. Potential is largely around athleticism.
3. Is described as a hybrid-4 with a long-term outlook that could see him develop into a wing. Doesn't have the skills to play wing yet, offensively.

A 6'7 (even if he does have a 7'1 wingspan) 18 year old with limited skills, despite good athleticism, is going to have a hard time fighting other 4's in the SEC. IMO.

I would almost bank on a redshirt, one mediocre year and then transfer. Like that one kid OU had during Fears’ year. Cole maybe?

18 last month makes him Normal aged ..

lol, that is at the end of the school cycle for an 18 year old.

Like, he is turning 18 during the last quarter of what is normal. That means there are kids his age, in their normal grade, that are 6-9 months older.

That is young.

Relative tweet considering 5-5 year thing.

Honestly it doesn't matter what restrictions they say apply. They'll get sued and it won't matter. We literally have an NBA player playing college basketball.
