Kentucky has an absolutely sick recruiting class:

Number 1,2,6, and 21 recruits in the country, If they don't win a national title with that group then Calipari will have to be one of the most overrated, underachieving coaches in the country, which he probably already is. Equivalent to Mack Brown of Texas for college football. Great recruiter. Underachiever.

really hard to win a ncaa championship when your best players and leaders are freshmen ..

If Cal ever got kids to stay more then one year (ala Roy Williams) he'd win a national championship.

you act like this is a new thing for coach Cal....

2010 (Rivals)
#3 Enes Kanter (yes I know he never made it in)
#6 Brandon Knight
#13 Terrance Jones
#21 Doron Lamb

2009 (Rivals)
#1 John Wall
#2 DeMarcus Cousins
#22 Daniel Orton
#23 Eric Bledsoe

Only thing I can think of when I see Cal's recruiting classes is the Fab 5 ESPN 30 for 30 show where it was stated that having that many recruits in the top 20 would never happen again. My first thought was what ? Cal gets that every year.

Here's how Rivals lists his 2011 class

#2 Anthony Davis
#3 Mike Gilchrist
#5 Marcus Teague
#22 Kyle Wiltjer

Yeah because Calipari's squads have the same experience as a Mack Brown team. Sorry, but winning a national title with almost all freshman is pretty tough. His tournament record the past 6 six years is incredible.

I don't get the animosity against Calipari.

He's a great coach, a sharp guy who loves basketball and is at the top of his profession.

What gives? Are some people jealous or envious of him?

bocabull he's as dirty as it gets, that's why people don't like him.

Coach's at the top of their profession have more than 1 final four

Hopefully, the Sooners get some players from the Top-100 in the next few years.

I'd be shocked if we didn't. Even Kelvin, early in his tenure (not his best recruiting years) could land at least one top 100 kid most years.

2013 is a HUGE year for OU. We'll have plenty of spots to fill, and we're in on some top tier talent. If LK can bring in a couple of studs, sky is the limit.

So you are saying all these players are one and done then??
