Do you guys realize how well OU is shooting the three this season?

Cam Clark 47.8%
Cousins 45.5%
Neal 44.4%
Hield 36.5%
woodard 35.7%
Booker 34.7%

Those are all solid percentages and three of them are outstanding

Cam and cousins are really surprising considering clark has never really been a 3 point shorter and cousins shot was so flat last season. Major improvement by both.

GYMRATS! Soph and frosh, minus cam and Tyler!

Incredible stats when you consider that three point shooting was a major concern we had before the season got underway. I doubt if anyone on this board dreamed that six players on this team would be shooting that well from behind the arc halfway through the season. I know I didn't.

And, with no returning player shooting above 33% (Hornbeak) last year and the others averaging well down into the 20s, who would have guessed that these kids could improve that much from one season to the next?

Give our players credit for working hard in the off season. But I also believe our coaches had a lot to do with the improvements we've seen.

That is all true and I would agree. However, part of it is that they are all taking better shots. Shots that are either open in transition or within the flow of the offense.

And Booker's stats are a little misleading, he started out horribly but has improved greatly. It seems like every time he releases one it looks like it is going in.

I believe Cam actually shot 100% from 3 last year.
So his numbers are way down this year.

Yeah, he has the worst percentage of the 6, and I actually like his form the best.

I mentioned this last night. Booker is 7 of 13 (53%) from behind the arc in the last three games. He is taking better shots and shooting with a lot more confidence now, so I expect him to continue to shoot well from the perimeter. No reason to believe that will not be the case. He has a great stroke with an almost flawless release.

Neal is becoming the player I thought he would be after his freshman year. His play has been critical for this team this year.

Booker's percentage is going to rise. When you watch his release you wonder how it won't go in the basket.

I agree with this. After his freshman season I thought he was going to improve each year and be a very good player. For whatever reason it never seemed to click for him until this year. I hope he has a huge senior year.
