Prior to the OU/Tennessee football game, people posted that someone would be live-streaming the game on YouTube.com so those who had YouTube.tv would be able to watch it. Those of us who have YouTube.tv and don't live close enough to get to the game would be most appreciative if someone live-streamed this game and posted a link. TIA!

Yikes they've already come all the way back since halftime. They are so much more efficient offensively than we are. I wish our girls tried to actually run some set plays or something. Let's go!

Definitely has some good things to come out of this. Belmont is going to be a tournament team, imo. But Jennie has a lot to work on with these girls and need to watch film.

Definitely saw some good things and saw some bad things but it's the first game of the season. I'm very impressed with chavez. Not just offensively but all of the intangibles. I don't think she's turned the ball over but one time in the first half. She's very good defensively as well. Lofton and Stuart haven't really impressed me but it's early still. Thank goodness we have beers. Without her today we would have lost because our team did a horrible job at the free throw line, outside of Chavez. UCLA game is going to be very rough...

There's a lot to work on for sure.

basically agree with soonerguy. I think i see one flaw. No depth at point. Vann is improved in s lot of areas but can’t dribble at all. No handles. Chavez is the only person on the team that can dribble. Lost our other point guards i guess to grad or portal

All the freshman look promising not just chavez

The roster being very small will come back to bit OU. Having to pull away late from Belmont isn't ideal, considering there are 5 or 6 teams in the SEC that would pistol whip Belmont far worse than OU did.

A lot of promise, but lots to work on. LIKE FREE THROWS. The Freshmen are going to be good, but we will probably take some lumps from top teams early. The rotation may be a lot tighter for the tough teams early in the season. Turnovers are down, but shooting has not yet been good-except for beers

3-23 on 3 point shots and 15-30 on free throws….outside shot was not falling tonight. Some of that was taking 3s out of rythym and some of it were good looks that just didn’t go in. On free throws we just need better focus. But we dominated the paint points and the rebounding….on defense we did a solid job of making them take contested shots.

Other than the obvious of Beers playing great, I thought the key was we really played with great intensity in the 4th quarter….Sahara in particular wasn’t going to be denied getting all the rebounds and she really played hard defensively for Q4.

Plenty to practice for the week to get ready for UCLA.

It’s been a trait of all of Jennie’s teams here to have what I call a “clunker quarter” in nearly every game — one quarter of poor play on both ends of the floor where it feels like everything snowballs for a while. That was the 3rd quarter tonight. Thankfully, they responded very well and were great in the 4th quarter. Beers was getting perfect position in spots where she’s automatic. She’s just so fundamentally sound down low.

I’m not too worried about the poor 3-point and FT shooting now. I’m willing to chalk that up to first game jitters and rust. Those will fall.

Vann was completely taken out of this game by foul trouble. 2-3 of those fouls were VERY ticky tack. She’ll be more impactful to this team than she was tonight.

Tonight made us better!

For a Jennie team, I thought we only had so so energy. Thought most of our 3 balls were decent shots and the girls were open. I will be shocked if this wasn't an anomaly. We should be a decent outside shooting team.

My Thoughts vs Belmont:

Not our best game what so ever, but I think we will take this and get even better. On defense I felt like OU had too many miscommunications defensively. I saw too many miscommunication multiple times yesterday between Aaliyah, Zya, Sahara and Payton on defense. That I hope will be fix by the time we play UCLA, I hope.

Aaliyah only having 2 turnovers was a Joy to watch for sure. And also her ball handling is ridiculously Good, Definitely as advertised.
So many said she is not quick at this that or whatever else. I personally thought Aaliyah is pretty damn quick and quick with the ball as well, because she most definitely isn’t no slow player like the media was making it seem to be she was. She might’ve worked on her speed over the offseason because that girl is not slow what so ever.

FT’s and 3pts were not great but Im not worried about that at all, it will come once they get more reps together.

I personally enjoyed watching Keziah and Brooklyn yesterday. Those freshman will definitely be pretty good by next season.

I see a couple of people talking about UCLA will give it to us but little to do yall know UCLA struggled with San Diego State lastnight. UCLA didn’t play their best game yesterday either. SDSU hanged around for a just a little until mid 3rd quarter and UCLA started to put it on them.

Speaking of UCLA. Im excited for the Raegan Beers vs Lauren Betts matchup. I think those two are easily the BEST Bigs in the country that will be going at it next Monday on FS1.
