That's the most we've given up to any opponent this season. We did so on just two occasions, and both were against ranked teams (one of them is currently ranked #4 in the country; the other has dropped out of the Top 25 but is still receiving votes).

And think about this: We had a first half not unlike the one ut experienced tonight in our Las Vegas matchup with UW. But by halftime, we had shown signs of life and we were breathing down their necks the entire second half -- and that was on a neutral court.

texas was at home tonight and they never even made our guys sweat. That says something about the respective grit and toughness of these two teams.

yeah I didn't want to mention it and jinx it, but our defense has been really, really good. Under 70 points

This is a good team. OU gave away one game and played extremely poorly for half of another. OU is not far from being a one loss team.

Yes but it's HARD to have a 20 point lead according to Fran Fraschilla, lmao.

OU gave up 70 or more in 10 of it's first 14 games last year. This includes 80+ to the likes of UNT, Arkansas-Little Rock, Mercer, Tulsa, UT Arlington, 102 to La. Tech, and 85 at Texas. It's obvious that Lon has really coached these guys up on the defensive side of the ball and that will really pay off. This team can win if/when the shots aren't falling.

I imagine that streak won't last long into conference play, but it is really really impressive.

It's not especially profound to say so but this team is miles ahead of last year's team defensively. Last night's performance was really impressive.
