Guys

I was looking at the schedule and I figure with 9 games to go OU should win 6 may 7.

what are your thoughts?

The only game I'm conceding is at KU. I don't like our chances at OSU and ISU, but they're winnable. At West Virginia and TCU plus the four home games are very winnable. I'd be disappointed with four, just ok with five, happy about six, and pretty thrilled with more than that.

If we don't play with purpose and lose focus, we could lose any of those games. That said, I think we could easily win 6 of 9. The 3 in question are road games with ISU, ku, & osu. We are good enough to win 2 of 3 or we could lose all 3. If we win Saturday, and avoid any bad slumps, we could go 7-2 or 8-1.

That would be awesome! I still think this team can play better and hopefully they will as the season progresses.

Anything worse than 6-4 would be very disappointing.

We can go 10-0. Just gotta start it off with a win @ISU on Saturday.
I think 7-3 or so is probably more likely, but why not try and win them all? I don't see a team on our schedule that we can't beat.

Agreed. We still have three extremely difficult road games against KU, ISU and OSU that will take a monumental effort to come away with a win. IMO, WVU in Morgantown will not be as easy as some seem to think. It's a game OU should win, but it will not be easy. OU should also win all five of the remaining home games. Doesn't mean we will, just that I think we'll be favored in all of those games.

To summarize, I would take 7-3 right now and be happy. Anything over that would be a bonus.

With trips to Stillwater, Ames and Lawrence coming up...would be very happy with 6-4.

I wouldn't complain about 6-4 and but very happy is not how I would describe it. I think these guys can and will do better than 6-4. They have played very well on the road so far. OU competed with Mich State and pushed KSU.

I think 7-3 ties us for second with OSU at 13-5. That's a good spot heading into the big 12 tourney.

At 6-4, we'll still come in with a 7 seed or better.

As long as they can secure a top 4 seed and a first round bye for the Big 12 tourney I would be satisfied; the ideal scenario would be to avoid the 4 seed and a matchup with KU in the semis. Bedlam round 3 for the semis in KC would be fantastic.

I'm thinking 7-3 or 6-4 at the worst. Barring any crazy 3 or 4 way tie scenario in conference, I think that finish gets us to either 3rd or 4th in conference. Preferably, I'd like to be the 2/3 seed with osu or Texas on the same side of the bracket in order to avoid the crowds of KU, ISU, and KSU will bring.
