The primary reason that I have posted these is that as the season progresses, I like to see what our opponents have done, other than us. It gives a bit more perspective to the season.

Since the schedules are ongoing, you can check on the current and past status at any time.

ACC may not be a pushover. They are killing their opponents and shooting 45.9% from three, 55.5% from the field.

5-8 Sr G Breanna Wright
5-11 Sr Dominique Golightly (Chickasha)
6-1 Jr Anna McLeod
6-1 Sr Lexie Ducat
6-1 Jr Makayla Mabry

That's about the same size as Houston. We are tall enough, but we apparently have a board problem. Ducat, Golightly, Mabry, and Adams garner about five boards a game each. They only have six blocks in four games. So, maybe they aren't so dominant inside. They are just a lot better than some bad opposition.

They are deadly shooters and do not turn the ball over. They do steal a lot. Wouldn't be surprised if some of their high shooting percentage wasn't fast break layups.

Until we beat some teams and get our act together, I won't relax, even against an ACC.

I doubt that they have played much competition in their four games. But we still need to not take the lightly.

Very sloppy game already. Simpson has missed open layups, as usual. Turn the ball over more than we should. Doesn't seem like this group learns much from one game to the next.

This Game has already been god-awful. We have no sense of what to do on offense, besides give the ball to Robinson and have her force a three, and these ACU girls are outrebounding us for sure. It's like the Houston game didn't teach them a single thing. Of course it doesn't help not having a girl to go to in the post. I'm just bewildered by how sloppy and undisciplined this team still is, with the Hall of Fame coach and fantastic assistant coaches that we have. I guess a part of me thought youth was the legit excuse to last season's disaster, but these girls ain't any better and aren't showing signs that they might be in the future. This team shouldn't even be challenging us. Just disappointed.

Hale posted on Twitter that Lemon is not playing because of injury. Didn’t say what.

Nice win, not sure how many of these will come their way this year

Good to see Gregory playing well after her bout with pneumonia. Best thing to happen was Simpson getting in foul trouble so Lampkin could get more minutes.

Wasn't great. But, it was a win, probably a better win than we thought it might be, more difficult than it should have been. Above link shows that ACC was receiving votes in the USA Coaches Poll.

Ana had her second bad game in a row. She needs to settle down. She undershoots her layups consistently. Throw passes without looking.

Glad that Gregory finally showed up. She has a lot to learn. But, she is showing that she has the tools.

Tatum had a smart game. Well, a couple of her turnovers were not all that bright. But, she settled us into the game early, made a couple of early steals and layups. Against ACC, Lemon would have been the natural starter. Better attack dribbler.

Dee seems to be picking up. If she could only catch passes.

The positives
- Won the rebounding battle
- forced under 50% shooting from the opponent

- Gregory showing flashes of being a star freshman. A huge piece of improvement for this year.
- An active productive 20 minutes from Dee. Reducing Simpsons minutes which is a positive.
- Winning despite a poor shooting night from Ana.

Does anyone have any intel on Scott and a possible playing date. I have January in my mind for no real reason?

I've read nothing on Liz.

It is good that Dee and Aspen have made some strides.

Dee has more points, rebounds, blocks, and free throw attempts then Mandy... it’s a little head starching as to why she’s not starting at the 5.

No idea why Lampkin isn’t starting and receiving a lot more minutes. Sherri has a lot of admiration for Simpson, but it’s obvious Mandy can’t execute against D1 competition. I realize she understands the game, but she can’t get rebounds, can’t finish near the basket, and is bullied around on the low block. We need athleticism at that spot desperately.

I had held out hope Mandy was smart enough to counter her physical limitations, but I don’t know that optimism is warranted at this point. And I hate saying that because she seems like a GREAT human and a GREAT teammate. I just think her role needs to be reduced and that she’s better for us off the bench.

I think Sherri has favored Mandy because she at least caught the ball and passed it well. Her rebounding has become almost non-existent, flat-footed much of the time. But, she seems to have regressed a bit in her decision-making, and Dee has had difficulty learning to catch passes, bricks for hands.

Slowly, Dee is improving that aspect of her game, and Mandy is becoming less useful in the team aspects of defense, blocking out, passing, etc. Mandy averaged 22-23 minutes in the first three games and is now down to about 17 in the last three.
