Funny comments about Blake making the All Star team.
“They are putting this guy on every ESPN highlight. Yeah, it’s cool because fans want to see that, but you isolate him from his team,’’ Miller said. “Especially … he ain’t made nobody better. It’s basically his rookie year, as an All-Star? LeBron James didn’t make an All-Star team as a rookie.’’

“It’s all publicity and hype,’’ Miller said. “The league don’t appreciate the blue collar workers. They don’t appreciate that. They make their money off the high-flyers … That’s a slap in the face to LA (LaMarcus Alridge).’’

Getting tired of this guy. He's the one who blindsided Blake earlier this year.

and BG's numbers put LA's to shame. not to mention how much better the clips are now. And LJ's numbers were good for a rookie but now allstar worthy

Do I think BG is an All-Star? Damn right.

Do I think LA should be in over BG? Nope.

Does Miller have beef with LA not being in the game? Damn right, he's carried a severely depleted team all season with solid numbers and they are on the verge of the playoffs.

Is Miller right about the NBA? Damn right, but it's a business, how the game goes.

If you read the interview, there are a lot of good points on both sides of Miller's statement...just think he went about it the wrong way. Personally, Duncan should not be in the game, Love or LA should be.

Miller is just responding to the snub of his teammate Lamarcus Aldridge who along with Love would also have been justifiable picks. Thing is, had Brandon Roy been healthy he would almost surely have been selected and Aldridge would have been left off anyway. The commissioner's selection for Yao's replacement will almost certainly be Love I would think.

Was going to say this was in defense of LA, who has turned into the maybe the best PF in the West (yes over Blake and Love or whoever else) since Roy went down.

This how I see it...LA has CARRIED his team. He does everything, this won't get mentioned but he is a much better defender than Love, BG, etc.

I think the proper West squad would not include Duncan and you would put LA in his place and Love as Yao's exemption.

He has been on a tear since Roy went down, plain and simple.

How is Blake not a blue collar worker? How is Duncan not one?

I don't mind AM defending his guy but he doesn't have to put down Griffin in the process.

Agree...obviously there is some bias there.

FYI...LA is averaging 26.8 and 10.8 since Roy's injury.

Wow.

duncan shouldnt be on the team... the guys putting up career lows in all categories.

It's pretty obvious that Andre Miller doesn't know Blake Griffin, either.

That's the impression that I get. Especially his statement about Blake not making his teammates better. Care to ask Baron Davis about that. Baron was fat and on his way to retirement before Blake got to him. How about DeAndre Jordan?

I like how he comes to his teammates defense, and LA has had an outstanding year...specially since Roy went down...also, for some vets they probably do have a problem with Blake getting in right away...

But that is where the defending ends with me...i think it is clear Blake is an All-Star...2nd in double doubles, only player to average 20, 12 and 3...also owns the most points scored in a game this year with 47...not all dunks Andre...also i do think his team is better because of him...

they have been on a tear and he is a big part of that, his attitude/heart/hustle has won over his teammates and they are playing more like him as the season progresses...if it wasnt for such a bad start they would already be in the playoff picture (might still happen)...

I guess my def of blue coller is different than Andre's because Blake fits that bill pretty well...

He deserves it, but this is just part of the game he will have to deal with...no one likes it when a rookie comes in and shows up the veterans...(see Lamar/Andre and Posey)
