I see nbadraft.net has smart as the #5 pick in 2013 draft. If you are top 5 do you go? top 10?

I would find it hard if top 10 not to go this year.

Mbaye was 46th pick. I don't think he goes

I think they would both probably go. The issue with MBaye is his age, not his development (or current lack thereof). There can be arguments made both ways, Blake was smart to stay the extra year, but then you have plenty of guys that stay and play themselves out of the lottery.

5th pick overall in what is going to be considered a stale class? Really tough to turn away that money.

Smart yes, M'Baye who knows but probably. Smart would be making a bad decission not to go. Best of luck to both of them in they do.

Nbadraft.net is the bleacher report of mock drafts except much worse. Thought everybody knew that by now

Smart is a second round pick in SI's and Espns mock draft and isn't even listed in draftexpress.com

I did not know that about nbadraft.net. I quess I should have when Al Eshbach from the animal uses them as his source.

Unless M'Baye really takes off the rest of the season, he'll return for his senior season to attempt a move into the first round. Second round picks have no guarantee, which means teams don't invest much in seeing them improve.

Smart is actually listed at 22 on draftexpress.

NBAdraft.net is far from gospel, but it's not bleacher report bad.

I love Marcus Smart ... he's fantastic.

BUT, I honestly don't see how he could be a high draft pick this year.

He's playing point guard for OSU out of necessity, but he certainly doesn't have the handles to be a point guard in the NBA.

His spot in the NBA is shooting guard, and in that respect, I just don't see it. His outside shot is pretty below average. He has no mid-range game to speak of, and he's shooting 20% from 3-point range. He's shooting 36% overall.

He gets most of his points by being way more physical than just about everyone who's guarding him, driving to the hoop, getting fouled, etc. I don't see that flying in the NBA.

Maybe some of the basketball experts can help me out with this one....

I would totally understand Nash going out after this year... I just don't see it with Smart.
