If we don't sign 1 or 2 more bigs (with good potential) not Nick Thompson or Hardrick potential....are there any out there?? I hope with a good proven coach he will attract someone

Jurick, but im betting he goes to West Virginia now.

If a certain unemployed coach were to talk to a player, it wouldn't be a violation.

No, I totally lapsed on the fact and when you mentioned it, I remembered that RS did sign his LOI.

What are the rules on breaking LOI?

I'm not really sure. All I know is that you can't directly talk to a kid that's signed an LOI

If you sign and change your mind, you lose two years of eligibility and have to sit for two years.

If you change your mind AND the school you signed with grants you a release, you sit a year/lost a year like any transfer would.

The NCAA can also eliminate that penalty by granting a waiver (which they don't seem opposed to doing for recruits whose coaches have left).

I've never heard of a school letting a guy out of an LOI without a coaching change or other issues surrounding the school/player, so can't envision a scenario in which Gonzaga willingly parts ways with him.

Also, for what it's worth, everything I've read suggests there are virtually no worthwhile bigs out there. Anyone else seems to have major flaws, with a few exceptions.

Well, they'll fit in well here then.

I was just messing around about Spangler. We may have to live with Fitz, Goff, Osby and Washington as our big men, unless we can steal someone from one of the schools with coaches that got fired. It may be worth living with wait we have and saving schollies for 2012.
