Any chance we don't suck next year?

I'm familiar with the beaches of the redneck riviera as I too used to live there. I decided it was time to move when the average IQ dropped to less than half of my own.

BTW...it's spelled cobia and is a great fish to eat. :ez-laugh:

Sure you have... I hear that a lot from the people who went bankrupt and moved back west or people fibbing about it because they spent a spring break here back in the early 90s. Fact of the matter is that Destin is one of the wealthiest and affluent communities in the entire country. We have one of the highest graduation rates in the entire country. Every high school south of I-10 in Okaloosa county, as well as the two neighboring counties (Walton and Santa Rosa), are rated as A+ schools. We have one of the highest percentages of college educated people in the country.

But like I said I am used to hearing that piffy little comment about the Redneck Rivera from those who couldn't hack it here and failed or are just fibbing. If half the people who claimed they had lived here ever actually had the demographics would be far different... thankfully the dead weight gets trimmed.

I don't care what you say about Okaloosa county, it is still right smack dab in the middle of the redneck riviera.

Yes, I did live there for a few years. I question if you live there...you can't even spell the name of the fish correctly. Case-in-point about my observation of the average IQ dropping to less than half of mine. My degree from OU just went down in value thanks to you. :ez-laugh:

I hope you keep coming back because I'm taking you to the woodshed in this thread. :ez-laugh:

Osby will carry this team to 20 + wins easy. He's a beast.

Riiiight, you found one quote and probably spent half the day looking for others when you realized that 99% of the established media did nothing but laud the Capel hiring. The one quote you did find is from a guy who has been markedly wrong with jjust about every prediction he has made for the last half decade. Jeff Capel is already being mentioned for other jobs and we are seriously discussing hiring something like Buzz Williams enthusiastically who has a lesser career winning percentage than Capel did. The kicker is our fans actually think this is a good thing. :clap

The kicker is the fans who think Capel being fired is a bad thing.

Maybe you should stick to football or fishing for cohibia or whatever that was you spelled.

FYI -- Buzz Williams has now taken his team to 3 straight NCAA tourneys and he coaches in the toughest basketball conference. Jeff capel has never taken a team to 3 straight tourneys.

Capel can be mentioned as the next Pope for all I care.
He's gone, and I am confident ANY coach we get will be an upgrade.

Oh, and I used to live in FWB. The folks in Destin think they're wealthy. But they're not.

The only thing you've been accurate about is me living in Destin now. It's a rough life making decisions on what to do with my leisure time in the summer between walking a block to one of the most beautiful beaches on Earth, driving down to the marina to put the boat in the water for crab island or catching my fill of cohibia and red snapper. It's a rough life but don't cry for me Argentina.

Methinks you can keep your thoughts on my personal life and where I live, as though it has any bearing on my level of familiarity with the program in this internet media driven age, to yourself. My degree from Oklahoma and connection to the University is just as meaningful as anyone else's; including your own if you even have one or ever even attended.

This may sound creepy, but you don't happen to own a house in Crystal Shores do you? We rent a house in Destin every Summer and I think it was last year or the year before we saw a car with Florida plates and an OU sticker on the back.

Actually, a decent amount of OU fans live along the gulf coast. More than you probably realize. I used to run into a number of them in the grocery stores and restaurants from time to time.
