The near demolition of OU basketball that occurred after the Gallon/Orande deal cut the legs off much of the momentum and buzz that this program had going back in 2009 and 2010.

Those that know me, know that I love OU basketball about as much as anything on this earth, and even I was dreading watching the team (sadly).

As a result, OUHoops.com suffered some poster casualties. I think that this team (and the future) will bring some of the momentum and buzz back to the program and this board.

Any former posters that you miss/want back?

I wonder from time to time what happened to Chenohawk. Cheno and I had our share of battles but it seemed odd to me that he would just disappear from cyberspace.

I miss Tony posting here. Henzo is a guy I miss on here as well.

If you guys know some folks who used to be active on there then try to get them to come back and let's get this board busy again!

A faux OU "fan" like cheno, I don't miss a bit. He pretended to pull for OU (when they weren't playing KU), but he showed his true colors repeatedly. Had he been honest, I wouldn't have minded him so much, but that bogus Sooner fan act got very old.

I more just wonder what happened to him. He wasn't banned from here. He managed to post just as much on Phog as he did here so obviously MB posting was very important to him.

I browse the Phog occasionally and I haven't seen him on there for years as well.

Just wondered if anything happened to him.

In additions to the names BigTime said, I haven't seen elmocarp around much and I've always appreciated his posts.

IreallyluvOU or something similar. Very entertaining.

ILuv still posts on the OUInsider football board. Wish he would post here. He definitely has a way of breathing life into a fan board. :D

I can add a few names to the list. Elmocarp and Tony have already been mentioned. Both are great posters. Henso is another one I would like to see on the board again.

There is also RumbleBritches, an immensely talented artist who used to honor us with his presence.

I miss my old admin friends: Edmond Sooner, SKSooner and baeksu, one of the originals from the Insider board.

Guys like htownsooner, faithfulsooner, Sid, Sooner Quick and TGuidry25 haven't been on the board lately.

OKlahoma Libertarian doesn't show up too often anymore. I don't always agree with him, but I appreciate his contribution to the board.

I can't forget my good friend, 0U84. I saw her on the board several weeks ago, but to my knowledge she hasn't posted here in two years or more.

I know there are others I can't think of right now.

I never posted that much but am a big fan. I went to bb games while in college and attended a few when visiting family in OKC over the years.

I still read this board and enjoy it very much. I'm excited about this year and I like Coach Kruger very much.

Oh my goodness Ada! I posted my response before reading yours. I have never really left! I feel connected because I read all of your posts.
Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!

Greetings, 84! I can't tell you how happy I am to learn that you're still around. I thought you might have abandoned your old friend without saying goodbye. :)

E-mail me when you can with an update on yourself as well as your family. PM me if you don't have my address anymore.

All of my best for the holidays! And, no, I'm not afraid of being criticized if I refuse to be politically correct:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

OU was no longe a threat to KU so he didn't need to monitor OU message boards.

Sybarite. There was also a guy who seemed to be very close to the team during the late Kelvin, early Capel years... his name is escaping me, but he was super knowledgeable.

I miss the high school coach impersonator. It seems that most of the things he was predicting were pretty accurate.

I still post a lot, just not so much on the men's board. Like John Wooden, I prefer the women's game, although this team is beginning to capture my interest like none since the Kelvin years.
