Any updates on starters?

I have one more month on my $1 promo.

1. Kai rogers has looked better than wague. Could start at some point

2. Atak one of the best offensive players we have. Def still lacking some

3. Davis most complete player.

4. Reid also been really good. He’s got the potential to be the best player on the team — and some believe he already is — but I think he’s still got a little way to go. “Derrion has an NBA body for sure. He’s a slasher type offensively, a really good rebounder, and an elite, physical defender.”
(Direct quote bc I said the same thing and get beat up on… before this article came out FYI)

5. Xb. Adjusting to big boy ball. Too many to’s and over dribbles at times

6. Pack small but lights out ahooter

7. Dayton not far behind pak and brown.

8. 9 man rotation is his guess and Jadon jones may be left out.
Thanks for sharing. The comment about Rogers/Wague is interesting because Porter singled out Wague for his improvement in his comments to Toby.

I have wondered a bit about how Brown will adjust to the better competition and athletes. He seems to be held in higher regard than McCollum was when he transferred in, but I’ve thought a couple times that in a worst case scenario, it could play out similarly.

Let’s hope that if Jones doesn’t crack the rotation, it’s because there are nine legitimately good players ahead of him. After all the talk about how much he would have helped us on both ends of the floor last season, him not seeing the floor would be a bit of a surprise.

Like the football stuff, I will take Lusk’s assessment with a grain of salt.

i like that he puts out info .. but very much this ..

in the same article he calls davis a Wing ...
And in today's Rothstein list of under the radar guys (or something along those lines), he includes Wague.

I imagine for a lot of these things, it is based on who the coach happens to mention in a particular interview. Maybe Lusk talked to a coach on a day that Rogers practiced well, and Rothstein on a day that Mo looked good.

I think Rogers having Mo to go against in practice could really help him develop early. On the flip side I think Mo going against Rogers will help him as well. From what I can tell, Rogers is a much better all around player than Sam which will challenge Mo more in practice.

Another thing to keep in mind is some people play better in organized games than practice. That's why even if Jones is looking like the odd man out I think they're is a chance when games comes around he proves his worth more than people who stand out more in practice.

i want to believe the Reid hype .. he does have a massive upside ..
Agree. He seems to fit in the “if he can put it all together” category of players. Guys like that can turn into studs, or constantly leave people wondering why they can’t unlock their potential. I think WT is right to point out that his shooting is the key. A lot of athletic dudes don’t end up amounting to good basketball players because they lack the most important skill.

Rogers has really good size. I think he has fascinating potential, particularly for the SEC battles.

Porter taking Reid to SEC media days tells me my analysis might be closer to than him being years away. With Davis and Pack.

But you guys do you.

Sam Godwin went last year and was one of the worst starters in the league, so I wouldn’t expect the media day choices to be a sign of impending greatness.

Not trying to be a jerk, but if somebody "has a little ways to go", on this roster of talented players, they probably aren't the best player already.

Best player is argumentative anyways. Everybody's measurement for that is going to be different.

Nobody "beat you up". You don't have to play the victim just b/c I disagreed with you. And that was who that said that? Lusk? LMAO. I'd rather ask the janitor at LNC. He's probably more qualified to speak on the topic than Lusk.
