The AP preseason poll was published today. Baylor is 5th, Texas is 12th, and we are 17th. Here is your assignment if you have the courage to tackle it:
1. Argue that Baylor should be higher or lower.
2. Argue that Texas should be higher or lower.
3. Argue that OU should be higher or lower.
Try to avoid too much speculation on players coming in new this year. Those assumptions are not as dependable as explaining why the team returning is likely to perform at the level predicted.
If the ranking is a substantial improvement or drop from last year, try to argue why the change is to be expected.
