Apologize for what?
grow up fans!!
You don't just "recruit in a JUCO for leadership". It rarely works that way. Maybe a support guy, but someone inside either has to immediately step up or otherwise others grow into the role. The thing that helped woodard mesh well with Isiah and Buddy is also the thing that hurts him this season - he's a good support guy but not a vocal leader or focus point. thats cool. it is as it is. We've just needed someone to step up and thats still in process.
quit expecting a finished product and quit trying to gauge success so far. just enjoy watching them grow and trust the coach.
Summary:
There is plenty of blame to go around. Coaches and players get the most blame for the disappointing season in several years.
Can't believe we still have a year of Lattin. Is there anyone who's had a bigger gap between expectations and output in recent OU basketball history? Just no fee for the game.
Maybe it's not realistic to expect an impact juco anymore, but you can't tell me a grad transfer wouldn't have helped this team. Someone with confidence and stability who could be on the court, get a bucket when needed and settle down the youngsters. Case in point: Canyon Berry. He was a difference maker for Florida when he entered. I'm not saying we could we could've gotten him, but it shows the potential impact of a grad transfer.
I'm not looking for an apology, just wanted to point out that some blame should be leveled at Kruger; he's not sacrosanct.
And don't lecture me on enjoying the process when we get curb stomped by 30 on our own floor. Even in down years I expect us to fight more than that.
He led the team to the Final 4 last year doing things the right way.
Coach Kruger needs to issue a public apology to the fans for his team's lack of effort and losing in an embarrassing fashion today. Frankly, for the amount of losses already this year. He's making millions. This is unacceptable.
James isn't too far behind.
Is the statement you are critical of bear accuracy or a complete lack thereof?
Those first two quotes are the reason I never post – and seldom even log in – the first day or two after a loss.
And that last post? I still don't know what it means.
