Everyone knows Courtney was a great player but, she could have been better. I disagree about Ashley, it was easy to see she was a better player on both ends of the court when she lost weight and got in better condition.

Couldn't agree more re; Ashley, & I have NO idea where the notion that Abi didn't lose any weight came from. Just one of many articles on the subject:

Most players improve in college. Courtney did not. It is a joke to say Courtney was the best she could be. I loved CP but, with her skill level, she would have been an even better player if she would have done what Ashley did.

CP didn't improve? Defenses at first were swamped by her. As time passed they learned her weaknesses (can't shoot with three players hanging on her, susceptible to being fouled when out of bounds, hack hack hack, not a cough,) she still was great.

If you have a great player who gives you as much as CP did for four years, treasure your memories and don't nit pick her contributions.

I am simply sick and tired of "over weight" and "didn't improve" as the primary memories of that wonderful Sooner. Sorry those of you who insist on continually harping on CP didn't enjoy her as much as I did, happy memories.

I'd give my left ..., to have Courtney and Ashley on this team. We could win it all this year with those two. With that said, I think this team will be very good and will have a great year. I'd sure like to see more depth in the post though, a couple of injuries there and it would certainly spell trouble.
