Um, no. He’s OU skilled but he is not NBA skilled. He’s OU athletic but he’s not NBA athletic. He had one good game, let’s get some perspective here.

That’s why I said he needs to make all around improvements over the next year and a half. He has had a lot more than one good game. There are great things ahead for reaves.

He shoots less than 30% from 3 and has nearly a 1-1 assist to TO ratio. If Cousins couldn’t make it as a reserve Reaves has no shot.

What is his career average from 3? Reaves has 1.5 years to continue to improve. His best days lie ahead.

What’s his average with a longer 3 point line, which will be even long in the nba. I don’t care what he shot before because the line was closer to the basket. He had a great game but let’s pump the brakes a lil bit

Hope and wishing the best for a young lad is one thing, but it's going take a whole lot more for this vision to occur. Austin's clock is ticking and the stop watch doesn't have much time left (<1.5 seasons).

People thought Buddy would leave early after his junior season. He even had a press conference to announce he was returning. That’s not happening with Reaves. It’s a much larger stretch than Buddy’s transformation. Wasn’t Buddy also first team Big XII his junior season? Plus, Reaves redshirted and Buddy didn’t .

Alright, given I stated my point poorly. The big stretch was about Buddy going from 2nd rd. or maybe not drafted at all, to high lottery. Compared to Reeves never playing in NBA to being drafted. My bad!

Look back a few hundred pages and you will see nearly all thinking D league or Europe after Buddy's jr yr.

He absolutely has a chance. He is a skilled combo guard with enough size and athleticism to be a reserve player imo.

Not trying to bash the kid, but not he doesn't. He doesnt have the size, athletic ability, shooting ability, range, etc to play any role in the NBA. Nice college player for sure, but he isn't a pro. We do this all the time... Many of you guys claiming Muni, Odomes, etc were pro players and they weren't even close.
