We won and I am happy. We normally are Really good on D but today, early start or small crowd, something didn't work. Our big guys were AWFUL on D and Spangler got used by their Freshman big man which Usually doesn't happen. Many times our guards got beat down the lane and made our D collapse. And we got caught sleeping several times on the three ball.

That being said, when you let a team shoot 60% and your best player has a Bad game on the road and you win you just get on the plane and smile.

Yep, an ugly win beats a well-played loss every time.

It is said that "defense travels well," but it did not today.

Yes, you do. We were very fortunate to leave Lubbock with another W today, because our defense couldn't have been much worse.

Having said that, though, this will give our coaches something to work on during our week off. I think our defense will be a lot better when TCU comes to town next weekend.

I can tell you after watching it today I just wiped my brow and looked up and said "Thanks" lol

Just now watching the game. They haven't played well. 3rd foul on Buddy was bs. Guy was sliding under him. Also the number of moving screens is off the chart.

I wouldn't be surprised if we apply a 30-point whipping on the froggies.

I believe we will put a whipping on TCU. This is a great time for a bye week. Take a day or so off, and then work on some little things to tune up our game before putting in a game plan for TCU (or ISU 2 days later). It gives guys like Woodard time to heal up.

I expect us to be very crisp next Saturday.

OU did not have their best defensive day but Tech made a lot of contested shots. When they tossed up bricks, they got a bounce. It wasn't as bad as some would suggest in my opinion.

I think we will not look as good as we want to against TCU. They're playing everybody tough right now, and play pretty solid defense. Blew out K-State the other night and stuck with KU for 38 minutes today in Lawrence. Plus, our guys will likely have ISU and KU somewhat on their minds. I'll take a win over TCU by any margin.

Great win on a day when we didn't have much going. A week off for some of the guys to get healthy and rested. Some of our players just look tired. Spangler looked like he was in pain for most of the game. Woodard needs a few days to get his legs back.....

On the three to end regulation....do you think our players were told to guard the three point line???? I mean, go for the rebound...but if you don't have a chance to get it, go to the three point line and deny the ball. Just sayin.

Abso-freakin-lutely we should have had some one drop out to 3 pt line instead of having all 5 guys go for the rebound. I like how Lon didn't foul in OT as Tech thought they would thereby putting more pressure on Tech shooters who thought they would be at FT line instead.

Buddy tends to lower his shoulder in those situations and is not getting the calls. He needs to do a better job of snaking his way through with less contact.

I thought we should have fouled the Tech big as soon as he beat Thomas to that rebound. Send those bozos right back to the line to prevent them from getting off that lucky three. I realize, of course, that it was a bang-bang play and perhaps no one had time to commit the foul.
