In accordance with the "no mockery of Baylor this offseason" truce... I am only bringing this up as a point of information and have absolutely no option on this NCAA decision whatsoever:

Point of info no. 2: I got my link up a minute before you.

OU-related, because they were at the same Sweet 16/Elite Eight site as us, OKC.

Also OU-related, because why the hell didn't the Big 12 invite Louisville

standing in utter awe and admiration for the fortitude and restraint evidenced by da badger but as I can read "eminds" I can tell you da badger lies through its overgrown teeth about the "no option" part.

You are correct about the "no option" part --- due to my high Sooner-like moral values, I have "no option" but to continue this Internet truce till football season commenceth.

Therefore, I would like to point out that the last time I recall a major Big 12 womens basketball suspension for the NCAA tourney was none other than the bane of my fandom, Riley-Riley-Riley for her LSU fightin'. I went off on a big SF.com tirade when her teammates got her to round 2 her senior year, only for her to ballhog the Pokette way to defeat.

Since then, she seems to have matured greatly, and I probably have too... so very coincidental that we are both mommies now? Problemento no.

Kim needs to learn that the first amendment does not apply to coaches.

SF.com got hacked about a week ago so I'll just keep discussing this I guess :)

Kim needs to learn that the first amendment does not apply to coaches.
It could be argued that they have a position to argue in the sport more than anyone else involved. Refs don't get to talk to the media. Players will get technicals/suspended/etc if they open their mouths in the wrong place/wrong time/etc, but coaches are usually just subjected to fines.

I imagine if this was a first-time offense, it would have just been a fine.

My summer just got brighter, that is great news.

Of course, it would be a cold day in hell before the NCAA selection committee pairs a Big 12 team with another Big 12 team in the first round of the tourney, so I don't see any direct Sooner impact.

Just imagine what she's going to be like next season on the bench if things "go wrong" and Baylor struggles.

Geeze, I might learn some new cuss words. Looking forward to it.

Goodness, baby baj, looks like Big 12 basketball is now rated TV-14! Guess we will be watching something tamer, like Hardcore Pawn

When I saw the post game news conference video, I thought it was Honey Boo Boo acting as the Baylor basketball coach.

Louisville was not invited because ISU, KU, KSU, Tech, Baylor, TCU and OSU do not want to split their annual $20+ million dollar check with another school. It might cost each $1.8 mil and each athletic department presently operates well in the red although the pukes did well in 2011.

Short sighted logic but they are just like everyone with their what is in it for me, now!

Oregon gets a slap on the wrist and we get this????

For fair comments????

Maybe they're right. Maybe it would be more appropriate for Baylor to have a one-scholarship reduction for three years instead of a one game suspension for the coach?

If you think about it, the penalty is almost painless -- anyone in here could coach Baylor to a first-round win in the NCAA's next year.

I remember when I used to predict annual first round exits (correctly) even if Texas was the host team. Poor Gail G. She just was in over her head.
