I just want to say how nice EVERYONE was at the arena. To start off they had boxes and boxes of Rudys breakfast burritos, outside the southwest entrance, they were just giving away to Baylor and OU fans alike. Thinking we would have to eat them outside we were told "bring them in no problem". Just imagine trying to bring something that dangerous into the LNC!

Once inside the ticket taker, ushers and the people holding seating charts to help locate your seat went beyond friendly. Even after the game ushers and fans were coming up and telling us how impressed they were and how good our team is.

OU is light years behind in treating opposing fans, let alone their own fans, as nicely as we were treated yesterday.

Agree that the Baylor fans were first class. Going out of your way to greet and talk to the opponent's fans makes a very positive impression. We arrived at the arena early, so I walked around the concourse quite a bit. During this walk I was greeted several times by different Baylor fans that offered greetings and friendly basketball chatter. No trash talk at all. Just friendliness. Same thing after the game. It was a good experience in every respect.

Yeah, it was great. And they really showed out.

Winning helps my sentiments though!

That is good to hear. Glad that a precedence is being set by someone in the conference on hospitality. We should strive for that also.

I had a great experience at Baylor as well. Was my first time visiting Waco; their new stadium is impressive and their campus was beautiful. Also had a good experience with people helping me find my seat. I know Baylor fans have a bad reputation -- and that may be true for football -- but as far as Saturday went, I have nothing but good things to say. Struck up a conversation about Buddy with a guy outside the Ferrell Center, and he couldn't believe that Buddy was averaging 26 per game and shooting 55% from three-point range. The fans in my section were nice as well -- the guy sitting in front of me shook my hand and said "please beat Kansas" before leaving with about 3:00 left.

Also, I met up with an ISU friend for their game against TCU afterwards, and I would definitely recommend that for another road trip. Their renovations turned out quite nice (the frog skin court certainly looks better in person!) and there were only about 4,000 people in attendance, about 40% of whom were ISU fans. So, there's no reason why OU fans shouldn't make that a de-facto home game, especially given that it's a Saturday, and it's the last game of the regular season so a Big 12 title may well be on the line.
