Win it and we are back in the thick of the conference race.

Lose and we have a big hill to climb with too many good teams ahead of us.

No it isn't. It would be a great win but it will not control the rest of the season.

I think he means it's a "must-win" in a sense for the Big 12 title race. If we lose this game, 3 losses already would mean we would have to run the table. However, since KU just lost in Ames, I see it hard for them to lose 2 in a row, let alone at a place where I don't think we've beaten them since I've been born

Uh dude we haven't won there in like 20 years - I find it hard to believe we can call it ever a must win there.

For a conf title, Ou is going to need to get one from @ku or @isu imo.

Not a must win per se but it would erase the KSU stumble and put us right back in the thick of things.

When it pertains to having a legitimate shot at the conference title, I think it's reasonable to say we need to win at either @KU or @ISU. But let's say we lose both of those, then that would bring our total conference losses to 4. We would need to play near flawless in our remaining games....maybe dropping only 1 more game to put as at 13-5. That means that we would need to win our remaining home games and drop no more than 1 more game on the road.....with games @BU, @OSU, @K-State....that's a pretty tough chore.

If we could steal one in Lawrence or Ames, then that would give us a little more margin for error with our remaining games. I still maintain that 14-4 will win this conference outright and 13-5 probably gets a share of the title. Realistically, if we finish at 12-6, then we have had a pretty good conference run.

I couldn't have said it better myself, so I won't even try. A win in Lawrence could give us a leg up on the other eight teams who will play the Jayhawks on their home floor. So, for that reason alone, it's a very important game for OU.

I said sometime ago that the eventual conference champion will likely have 5 losses this season. KU won it last year with four, but the race for the title will be more difficult this time around.

I totally agree that a 13-5 record probably means we'll share the conference title. Six losses and we'll be right up there near the top, and in a great position for a respectable seed in the NCAA tourney.

While it's certainly true that wins are hard to come for visitors at Allen Field House, I'm not even close to conceding a loss to the jayhawks Monday night. These Sooners are built to give Kansas all it wants, and maybe more.

We'll need to play a lot more like the Austin version of the Sooners and a lot less like the Morgantown version to have a legitimate shot.

I am not expecting a win. It's not impossible but, like always, we will have to overcome 8 opposing players to do it. That's just the way it is.

If we are within 3 points or have the lead with 4 minutes left we will likely have to make every shot and every free throw from that point forward to win it. If we are behind by 4 or more at that point the odds of coming back are tiny.

uh yeah for the real young kids 20 years. Someday before I die we'll win there again. I think.

Hairpiece boy has only lost 9 times in like 12 years soEveryone usually loses there. Not that big of a deal just need to win the ones we should and we will be fine
