What do you expect tomorrow?

We played pretty poorly last time against them. Will we do that again?

Obviously we are highly unlikely to shoot as well against the pokes as we did against Kansas, but hopefully we will also not shoot as poorly as we did against OSU a couple of weeks ago.

What are you expecting?

I think we will:

---come out playing tough defense on the perimeter while moderating on Jensen
---attack the OSU guards and their turnover tendencies
---dial up pressure until they show they can handle it, or we have fouls
---get the ball to Maddie and Gabbi
---their coach said Maddie got their forward (Coleman) into foul trouble
---she is a key offensive contributor
---let Maddie free lance and get the offense spread out: shoot Maddie
---try to get Jensen in foul trouble
---they are concerned about Vivi, Maddie, and Gabbi. That frees up Peyton.

I like the 4 quarters of chaos. They have one main ball handler and we gave them fits when we pressed. I would press until they can break it on a regular basis. Play smart basketball and take what the defense gives. Attack Jensen on the block, Coleman cannot guard Maddie, wear her out. Make shots, don't force, but be confident. We are better, we need to prove it.

I am simply amazed how this team can run to a 17 point lead, and then from that point on play stupid basketball. Jensen has 2 fouls, and we have done nothing to get the third. We tend to have a decent third quarter, it will be telling if they can re-set and put this game away. I don't know. I was sure encouraged after the first quarter, but now..........?????

Similar thoughts. We did everything wrong in the latter parts of the first and the entire second quarters. Too much individual play. Ten turnovers--not one forced. Peyton credited with one turnover, must have about five key mistakes. Maddie takes zero shots in the second?

They shoot 23.5% and pull within four? Seven of seven from the line. Coleman--nice.

What we are seeing is what we have seen forever from this team. They have long lacked the ability to play like the experienced team they are. No way to know which team shows up in the second half. Hopefully the aggressive strong defensive team that will run their offense, take good shots and win going away. But who knows. Exasperating!

Minus 7 on the boards and minus 5 on fouls.

Not likely to win this one. Too many fouls called against us and too few against them even when obvious fouls happen.

A big part of the problem is that Sherri does not support her players. Other coaches, when the officials call lots of fouls against their teams get up and argue, Did you notice the OSU coach use that strategy? A very clear foul was called on Coleman and he still jumped up and screamed at the officials. Not because he thought it was a bad call but because he knew he could intimidate these officials. Several quick fouls called against us immediately.

I have also found it interesting how biased the announcers are. Constantly bragging about OSU and ignoring OU. Once Chelsea hit a very critical trey and they did not even mention it for 15 or 20 seconds - instead bragging about something OSU did earlier.

No one in the stands.

I have to know why is the 6'9" trying to post and get position 8 ft from rim - you are 6'9" and if your back is to the basket you gotta be closer than that - I understand she is a freshman and is easily relocated but that needs to get better you can't just play inn defense this isn't football

How in the Universe was that not a foul - and plus one - when Chelsea just scored that difficult basket. That girl brutalized her as she shot. To not call that you HAVE to be a totally dishonest official.

And I realize Maddie is a fave but her decision making is about as bad for a 6 year player that I have seen why take a turn around fade shot with 6 min left an eight point lead and 8 seconds into shot clock. Sooners may win this one but wins can't just be w and l if you want to get to the next step players really need to look at some of their choices in games and work at being better and stop only focusing what they are suppose to do well - okay soapbox over
