Bennet need more playing time. Not for Bennet sake but for Cam and Spangler. I think Lon needs to do the NBA thing. When you get within a 1-2 minutes of a time out get Bennet in for Spangler. Let Bennet play the remaining time and then start after the Media timeout. Have Spangler come back at the first dead ball after the media time out.

Then do the exact same at the next Media time out for Cam. If you do this all game. Bennet propbably gets 10-12 minutes. I think he can handle that.

OK. Hold on to that prediction.

My prediction is this...come next year, his minutes will drop way down when there is more than one other post player on this team.

TCU and Maybe Texas Tech would play him a little bit this year. No other Big 12 team would give him any minutes.

Lon has already proven that Bennett isn't very good bye playing him 10 minutes a game on a team that has only one other post player. And you still have hope for him. He's not any good.

He played 6 mins against LT and 5 mins against aTm

Austin Mankin has played 9 mins the last 2 games

Thought he looked really good prior to his foot injury. I think he will be fine. Definitely not shown to be "terrible". Orlando Allen was terrible. Casey Aren't was terrible.

Spangler, Osby, Fitz for a solid year everyday in practice. Then again on the 5 game European tour.

Is that the best you can do? Mankin is a wing. Bennett is a post player. They sub for different people under different circumstance. There is no point to be made by comparing their minutes played. Please, tell me that you understand that.

If he can stay strong and out of foul trouble, it is OK with me if Spangler plays 40 minutes and Bennett plays 0 min. That doesn't mean Bennett is terrible. It means that he isn't as good as Spangler. The players not as good as Spangler constitute a pretty big club.

Bennett's only problem is he hasn't played much. He isn't putting up that bad of numbers for the minutes he's played.

Every time he is in he needs to destroy people at the rim on defense and dunk everything on offense. He needs to play like Pattillo did for us.

No reason for him to have many of his 5 fouls left after 40 minutes...

At this point we need to change our team and go with 3 guards 2 posts and slow it down on offense and be more efficient. We don't have a ton of depth at the post either. Basically Neal is our only other post. But we can't play the type of defense we need and keep trying to play a full court game.

On the European tour Spangler and Bennett were on the floor together about half the time. In the times that I have seen them practice that way, it is obvious the Bennett is much better when he has a running partner.

Kruger's options are limited this season. I think that defensive fix is more complex that a tempo adjustment on offense.

Is that why he redshirted...b/c he looked better then those 3. Heck, one of those didn't even play last year.

Mankin is a wing...so is Neal and Clark. What position have they been playing this year. The 4. So I will compare their minutes.
