best sweet 16 game...

Kansas vs. Michigan State

I think Marquette will beat New Mexico anyways. (I know the question you ask assumes the higher seeds win, and certainly Michigan State is not assured of being in the Sweet 16)

Kansas-Michigan State
Georgetown-Ohio State
Cornell-Kentucky
Syracuse-UTEP

the best "this should be a final four game" will be kansas and msu. but i'm with aaron. the most intriguing to me is the nova/baylor possibility.

I forgot about Nova/Baylor. That would a be fun to watch.

Agree with your thoughts on KU vs MSU. For me that game would be a lot like UT vs LSU in football. Absolute hatred for the first one, dislike but respect for the second.

I'm kind of off topic here, but could any of you guys see Baylor and A&M meeting in the Elite 8? I did not realize the Regional site was Houston.

baylor nova
n mexico wvu

i also think duke purdue will be good. only because duke always disappoints in the tournament. the question is will they disappoint against cal, purdue, or baylor? (i have baylor beating nova)

Purdue won't be in a position to challenge Duke. A&M will hold that distinction, that is if Duke makes it out of the second round. Enjoy reading the site, and finally signed up. Hope to get in ya'lls good grace like DFW has.

Welcome to the site. How do you feel about Baylor's draw? I think they have a legit chance to reach Indy.

I like Baylor's draw, but ND worries me a little bit. Baylor has the inside advantage over many of the possible matchups in that bracket, and assuming they make it to the sweet 16 having the Houston regional is going to be a big advantage.

The team that scares me the most in that entire region is having to play A&M again in the EE. The only real worry is if BU runs into a hot shooting team that forces them out of the zone. Duke is capable of lighting it up from beyond the arc, and even the first round matchup vs SHSU has several really good 3 ball shooters.

I really think that Baylor's size and athleticism is going to carry the day though, and a trip to Indy is a definite possibility. I hope Drew shortens the bench to about 7 guys though. I don't like their chances if Fred Ellis (who has contributed well over the last several games), or some of our freshman have to play extended minutes due to foul trouble. AJ Walton is really the only freshman that I trust on the floor at this point.

A Baylor vs A&M Regional Final would be wild because of the location. I hope that game happens. How do you see the crowd being split in this scenario?

Tons of Aggies (well at least Texas aggies) I am hoping other local big 12 alums show up and root for the Bears. I at least think the UT hate for Aggie will help in this situation, though they don't much care for us a the moment. If I had to put a # to it I would say 65% aggies, and 35% BU and others.

Aggie just has very large Alumni base in Houston, and a much larger Alumni base to begin with.

I wanna watch Baylor vs Nova

I also think Temple is gonna destroy Cornell.

Michigan State will have a tough first round game. Then they'll probably play Maryland in the 2nd round. Georgetown/Ohio State will be a really good game. Temple/Kentucky could be a good one. Temple is way underseeded. They may beat Kentucky there. Syracuse/UTEP could be interesting.
