Best team

I know S. Car. is ranked #1 and UCONN is ranked #2 but I would bet the farm on UCONN if the two teams played each other. UCONN had the one loss to Stanford but since then no one has come close to giving them a good game.

I haven't seen either play on tv so in a head-to-head match-up not ready to say. Of course, don't believe there is a better coaching duo than Geno and Dailey. No one that develops and coaches better for the game of basketball.
Not saying if I had a child, I would want them to play for Geno.....not sure.

Now, the better team, would have to see them play. I would like to think that
even though Uconn may play better against more teams, that head-to-head S. C. would win. I like Dawn Staley and I am tired of Uconn's dominance. With ALL of that said, guessing right now, I would say Uconn.

As an aside, I usually really like the players from Uconn as people....just what I know from media.

I have watched both play more than once. UConn looks like the best team. Don't understand how they lost to Stanford.

One big change from early in the season is the vastly improved play of their poing guard. Also a freshman, Gabby Williams is really coming on. They are loaded.

UConn was a bit flat-----and at Stanford. It is easy to lose at Stanford. They seem to be a top five team at home and a 20-40 team on the road at times.

UConn didn't have a good shooting day. They played only seven, and two of them fouled out. Lots of fouls. It was kind of a coming out party for some Stanford guards, and they were hot. But, on a neutral site, UConn wins by twenty.

South Carolina did win at Duke, 51-50. But, they haven't played anyone until Kentucky, and most of them were at home. They visit UConn 2/9.

I wouldn't discount South Carolina. I know Uconn is blowing teams out and they beat Duke by 30, where as South Carolina got a 1 point win on the road, USC is a very big team. I can see Uconn having trouble with that, they don't have the size to match up.

I would absolutely love it if S. Car. does beat UCONN. I would like nothing more than for Geno to never win another game but, they rolling right now and unless they happen to have a cold shooting night, they are very close to being unbeatable.
