Big 12 01-22 Games Thread

KU within 5. 1:39 left. Great and one by KU just now.

Long 2 by Texas makes it 68-61

Texas blocks a KU shot, Now KU will be forced to foul 48.5 seconds left. Free throws good, 70-61. Looks like Texas will win.

Texas is the better, more skilled team. Not surprised to see them win.

72-63 33 seconds left. 49% free throw shooter makes both.

This was a good loss for Kansas.

74-63 Texas wins by double digits in AFH. WOW!

Happy to eat jayhawk crow on that one. Loved seeing stunned jayhawks.

This was a good loss for Kansas.
For Kansas to lose at home by double digits to anyone isn't that good. I think this game did show that KU is kinda smoke and mirrors this year. This isn't the most talented KU team in the last 10 years.

Agree.

Losing a tough one on the road that reveals some weaknesses you can work on to get better for March is a good loss.

Losing to a mediocre opponent you thought you could cakewalk through could even be spun as a good loss (as a mental wakeup call, "you're not as good as you think you are" kind of game).

But losing to a challenger for the conference title on your own home court, a game in which you knew you'd be facing a challenge... that's not a good loss. Doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad loss, either (some losses are just losses), but there's not a whole lot to spin out of this one right now for kansas IMO.

Loss is good news for KU
Will bring team together
Help KU in the long run
etc.. etc.. etc..

I hate Kansas, the rug, and their turtleneck wearing pompous fanbase

Sam was joking about KU fans' propensity to interpret every possible situation as being a good thing for their program.
