I realize this means next to nothing to many on this board, but I'm very impressed.

Is there a Cliff Notes' version of how players make this list? Agree on the accomplishment and congrats to all that made it.

From soonersports: To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of their team’s scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence.

Also, First team honorees have a 3.20 GPA or higher and second team members have a GPA of 3.00-3.19.

I am proud of all of them, regardless how some feel about it, that is the reason they are here in the first place. Congrats to all.

Seriously, why wouldn't people care? I don't get that from any posts from this board. And, as an aside, SoonerNorm posted about it in the link "Hitting the Books" so that would be what would indicate not caring. It seemed pretty obvious to me it was about the team studying but I was the only one that
even viewed it. To me that would indicate no interest in studying, this thread is about getting honors. And getting an honor in an easy major vs getting one in a difficult one is relevant. "Hitting the books" would not necessarily mean getting honors but putting in the work which I believe is more important.

Okay, coming across as pretty negative BUT why would anyone even make such a negative comment about some not being interested. I mean that just puts a negative atmosphere on a thread which should be positive and I recognize that it is not just rocjunkie, many liked jumping on the bandwagon.

WHY do people find a way to bring out animosity in thread that should not
bring out any acrimony? geez

MY BAD: My screen wasn't full and I could see only the number "1" instead of "119" for the views on Norm's post.
