Big 12 overrated?

No. It was not overrated. The Big 12 was the best conference this year, it just didn't have any great team. A bunch of good teams. There is reason why the Big 12 looked so good in nonconference and had the best rpi.

Injuries hurt Kansas. Injuries will now hurt Iowa St. OU screwed up but OU overachieved all year long and finally hit the wall before the tournament. Osu became a mess during the year. Texas did good. KState got a bad draw.

I didn't have any big 12 team going past the Sweet 16 but Iowa St and only had them in the Elite 8. Just not any great teams that could make a long run In the tournament IMO.

This.

lose a game to a good team playing well while one of your star players is out and suddenly you and the conference are overrated?

whatever.

So far, only Kansas and OU have not played to their seed.

Texas, KSU and OSU were the lower seeds in their losses.

We'll see what Iowa State and Baylor do.

That depends on your point of view. If your team won a game in that situation, you would say it was great play on your team's part.
You're probably right, or I would say we got lucky. 2/4 from the line and the team up by 4 wants to foul my best player with 30 seconds left when he wasn't even in a position to take a shot? I'd say they bailed us out. Hopefully they learn from the past 4 tournament games the past two years because next year we will be a team with experience and veterans.

Big 12 and Big 10 both overrated. Mid-majors vastly underrated. SEC appropriately rated (as a conference with 2-3 good teams and the rest blow). ACC and Pac 12 are probably about right, I guess.

Well MSU, Michigan, and Wiscy are the counters for that. 3 of the 16. BIG 12 on its' way to 2 with Baylor looking REALLY good.

and Baylor is the SIXTH PLACE team in the big 12

No. They are the 2nd or 3rd best team in the Big 12, that played like the 6th best team all season for no good reason.

It's easy to see that when all Big 12 teams bring their A games, OU is probably 4th or 5th best. The problem was, Baylor and ISU didn't bring it all year, and osu had their problems too.

WHY do you see it that way?

Regular season isn't one and done. It's a marathon. Baylor most certainly was the sixth best team during the regular season schedule.

Obviously. That is where they finished. But they were picked to finish top 3, had top 3 talent all year, and when they brought their A game, that A game was top 3 in the league. Nobody outside of that program can explain their play all year, when everybody thought the way they've played the last three weeks would be the way they played all year. They didn't have a ton of new guys to break in. No tough early schedule. They just coasted. Or whatever.

Why don't you people insult the ACC rather than your own conference? I really don't understand a certain segment of OU fans. It is like you relish in OU and/or the conference not doing well.

I don't understand that "support your conference" argument.

When they go to seed teams next year, they aren't going to look back at this year's tourney, in deciding how many Big 12 teams to let in, and where to seed them. That isn't how it works. Much like the BCS never punished OU for losing multiple BCS and NC games. Each season is based on it's own merit.

The Big 12 is tough in hoops. Why would I want Baylor to keep making runs, thus allowing Drew to keep recruiting better players than OU? Same with ISU? KU? osu? No. I want them to struggle, to a certain degree, so that OU becomes the more attractive option. That makes sense to me.

I agree it's better for OU if all the Big 12 teams stink in the tourney.

I'm a huge advocate for the ACC being a joke, in all sports. And I have said how bad the SEC is this year yet they have 3 teams in the sweet 16...
