We are in second place at 5-1 in conference play. We most likely will be 5-2 after playing Baylor Saturday leaving us tied with Tech. Tech plays TCU on Sunday which will likely move them to 6-2. But, next Wednesday they will take a beating from Baylor dropping them to 6-3.

OSU is hanging in there and it will be interesting to see if they can beat KSU in Manhattan tonight. If so, that would move them to 4-2.

ISU at 4-2 will take a beating tonight against Baylor moving them to 4-3 and will have a tough game at WVU Saturday. Potentially, they could fall to 4-4.

Next Wednesday we have TCU at Norman so that should move us to 6-2.

Baylor is still way ahead of the rest of the league but we should hang on to second place through next Wednesday for sure.

Agree, however after next Wednesday we start playing real people (as opposed to TEx and Tcu who will be 4 of our 6 wins) every 3 days for a month. Going to be a rough stretch unless somehow our bench can produce.

I have had the same thoughts about our upcoming schedule as gosooner2. After TCU next Wednesday, comes the meat of our schedule. I would think we would only be favoed in the games against K State. I am not saying we will lose the other games. I know we have beaten Tech and WVU, but those were at the LNC.

If we go 50-50 the remainder of the regular season I will be satisfied.

I agree betterstill. That would give us an 11-7 record in the conference. I would take that also.

Here's the way I see it - I agree with gosooner2 and most of the other posts since then.

Most of the teams should go 2-0 against TCU and UT and 0-2 against Baylor, but you gotta figure UT or TCU will win a game or two at home vs. the pack. The diff is how they will perform against each other.

Giving +1 for road wins and -1 for home losses and excluding the aformentioned 3 teams (i.e. against the pack) ...

ISU: +1
KU: +1
TT: +1
OU: 0
KSU: -1
OSU: -1
WVU: -1

Thus OU may have the temporary best record of the pack, but they will have to pick up a road win or two to remain near the top of the rankings.
