So we currently stand in 9th place with 4 conference wins, tied with Tech who gets the nod because of head-to-head. Colorado stands in a 10th place tie with Iowa State at 3 wins. Colorado's remaining schedule is this:

ISU
@ Nebraska
Texas Tech

I'd be willing to bet CU is going to win at least one of those games. Which means if we lose out, we will finish no better than 10th in the league. Heck we could win a game and Colorado could win 2 of those 3 and we'd still finish 10th if Tx Tech can win at Nebraska on Saturday.

The significance of this is that it would actually be GOOD for us to finish in 10th, rather than 8th or 9th. Not only could it mean another shot at the Cowboys (who could finish 7th) in the first round of the Big 12 tournament, but it would avoid KU in round 2 if we can win in the first. Although I'd still give us little more than a prayer's chance of beating Kansas State.

I realize this season sucks but how sweet would it be to send the Aggies packing in the 1st round of the tournament and leave them teetering on the edge of the bubble? A little payback time for what happened last year. And before some of you start ripping me for being a bitter Aggie hater, it's Bedlam. I'm just saying. No hard feelings. ;)

Senior you are a straight shooter with upper managment written all over him. I like where you head is at here.

Let's pull out some Owen Field quotes for the occasion.

"Beating OSU makes OUs season"
"We're OU's bowl game"
'OU fans are obsessed with us"

As far as spoiling OSU's season, it's already done. If the pokes don't make the Big Dance they can look back to the game in Norman as the primary reason. The difference between 8-8 and 9-7 in conference play will be huge.

I would love for it play out like this. Bedlam round 3 would be sweet!

+1

I could not agree more. I am actually glad someone has started talking about the tournament. I am going and might start a topic to give frequent updates for all the games, during the games.

Good assessment. I will be in attendance as well, so hopefully OU can get a win on the first day somehow.

Maybe we could become aggy for a few days and make a medal or some t-shirts commemorating the win?
