Big Trouble

Actually, in the next two paragraphs you did make mention about settling for lower tier players (ie. not Burger boys)...

EDIT: BTW, my original quote of you was more an indictment of the attitude towards those TYPES of comments rather than the comment you actually made. Therefore, I apologize for taking your ENTIRE post out of context, but I stand by the initial gist of the post. This is like a political discussion - everyone thinks they are right and fails to see OR even want to allow another point of view.

I hear ya...but to be clear, I'm talking about having to settle for our secondary and tertiary OPTIONS. I'm not talking about the quality of player, but rather where these players rated in terms of importance to our coach.

They sure are disturbing. I hope he isn't involved with gangs.

Well, if what jmizzy says is true, he sure did replace a lot of Cs with Ks. And the references to red. He could be posing, but what would be the point of that?

I know that Oak Hill Academy is in a pretty hardcore area; better represent!

Fit in with his boys back home?

This, my friends, may be the primary problem. Dey jus don like dat OU skool

I am getting sick of this crap. Is this what my donation and season ticket money goes to support?!?

I heard your specific donation goes to cover the costs of Tiny's books. Sounds like it's money well-spent. :D

Everyone please go back and look at all my conversations with Tiny.

Tiny is indeed putting his name in the draft with no agent, fully expecting to be back, but why not? Tiny is still attending classes, I know this for fact. Tiny is training his butt off, I know this for fact. Tiny has been going to baseball and softball games, not to mentione being at the womens tourney games. He is not this terrible person some are saying he is. He admits when he first walked on campus he thought he could just walk out there and succeed but now he understands hard work is what it takes. I told him I just wish he would get rid of this twitter and FB stuff because some don't understand what your writing on there and may take something sarcastic as truth. Tiny is no TMG.

I don't know if Tiny was posturing, or trying to sound cool, but he made some obvious references to being a blood. SAWOOOO is a universal call used by bloods from Cali to NY and everywhere in between. Unless the guys that he was talking to are wanna be's, they will not allow someone to use that lingo, if they know the person to not be in a gang. Similar to the crip walk which has become a fad dance, but one best not do it in front of real hardcore Crips, because they won't react calmly to that....

Alot of times these young men/women hold on to the gang lingo because they seek continued relationships with other gang members. Often, that leads them to places that they don't want to be. Anytime you see a guy who is actively participating, or not willing to let it go even though he is far from it geographically, it usually means that its a matter of time before that lifestyle overtakes them. Prentice Elliot is a prime example.

Question: Is Tiny originally from LA????? He said that in his tweets. If so, that would explain alot........

Exactly. Jeff, so far, has had a hard time recruiting players that want to be here. BG, Cade and Crocker are the only players so far that have shown they wanted to be here. Maybe Pledger and Fitz will show this too if they can keep their nose clean.

If what Quick says is true, and I have no reason to doubt him, then maybe even Tiny will show he wants to be here, too. Sounds like he is taking steps to show this. I have my doubts if he will be ready for the NBA next year...based on his performance this past season, he needs at least 2 more years of college. JMO.

He's from Vallejo. And anyone familiar with NorCal or the bay area knows that it has a lot of gang activity. Not saying he is apart of that, but there are some red flags here. No pun intended.

Edit: I should add that, according to SS.com, he left California in the eighth grade and moved to Houston.

Thanks man. You are right about Vallejo and the entire Bay area.....
