Blake Griffin Baby Mama

I don't get these insults of this women. Two consenting adults had sex and produced a baby. Why is it this women's fault, responsibility, lack of morals, etc any more or less than Blake Griffins? Why is she a good person or a bad person as a result?

I don't think anybody is just blaming the girl

Yep.

On another board, when the Orange Power girls were being discussed as part of the recent SI expose of oswho, one poster said, "Every college has its share of sluts who will sleep with athletes" (not a direct quote).

But he said not a word about the young men who opt to sleep with those "sluts." Just boys being boys, in his opinion, I guess.

Some folks still live in the 1950s, it seems.

oh geez....go get your feminist panties in a wad on another board.

TMZ said she requested in court 30,000 a month from Matt for their child. Court knocked it to 15,000. Hard to say she is innocent in court battle if she is asking for 360,00 per year. I don't care how much he makes, that is a lot of dough.

Who insulted her? She's now had a baby with 2 famous athletes, the first of which went through a very messy court battle where she used the child as leverage.

Blake should have known better & will pay the price. Hopefully it's not as disruptive to his life as it was to Leinart.

So when you said "quintessential baby mama" and this "isn't her first rodeo" you meant that as a compliment? Do you consider the phrase "gold digger" a compliment?

Even that quoted language seems to assume the mother was in the wrong. Perhaps you are correct, I have no idea what happened. Therefore, I choose to assume neither of the individuals was right or wrong and they simply couldn't agree on an appropriate amount of child support without involving the judicial system. I don't view using the judicial system to solve a dispute as a bad thing. I think it is how disputes should be settled after partiers earnestly attempt to resolve their differences privately.

I think the only defense Blake would have is if it comes out that she told him she was using birth control when in fact she wasn't.

It is indeed a lot of dough. But if he's got it, why shouldn't the child get his fair share of it? We're not talking palimony here -- it's child support.

As usual you don't know what you're talking about. Leinart had to go to family court to force visitation. She refused to allow the kid to travel to Arizona when he was playing for the Cardinals unless she got more $$. There is already evidence she used the first child as leverage by denying visitation to enhance her payout. She finally settled for half of what she was asking because the amount was outrageous and had nothing to do with child support. He paid more than the statutory child support based on his income right from the start so saying he was trying to avoid his responsibilities is an idiot statement.

She had a baby with a pro athlete to improve her life. Twice. She is the quintessential baby mama. That's not an insult or a compliment. It's a proven fact.

Exactly. I sick of hearing about athletes leaving behind children they don't want to support despite their extreme wealth. If you extremely wealthy and have a kid then you should be supporting that kid with proportional to your wealth. Like you said, she isn't getting alimony. It is child support and no one should be allowed to abandon their responsibility to their child.

If I could invent one thing, I would invent a birth control vaccine for men that would be effective for 10 - 15 years. I would be a bazillionaire!

Given her history, all professional athletes should beware of her unless they are really interested in having kids.

I don't know anything about California child support (or this case) but this doesn't sound right to me. If their are statutory amounts and he was paying that amount, he should win on Summary Judgment. I suspect the statutory amount is actually a minimum rather than a maximum if a judge ordered more child support. Obviously we have all heard stories of judges doing weird things or ignoring the law but that is the exception not the rule in my opinion.

Many times there is a lot more to the story than what is reported in the media.

Win a summary judgment for what? He was never sued for child support. From day 1 he paid more than he could have been ordered to pay. He filed a petition for joint custody which she was not allowing unless he paid more $. That's what the settlement was about.

Anyway I just hope the same thing doesn't happen to Blake. Girls falls in love with young star athlete, gets pregnant, young star athlete doesn't want to get married, breaks up, girls seeks revenge through child. Can't be a pretty scenario.

You say it child support. But out of curiosity what proof do we have that any child support payment goes to the children. I have friends who pay child support and they still end up buying all the kids clothes and paying for their activities even though this falls in the guidelines of there court appointed child support payments.

I am not saying she doesn't deservce support for her child or anyone doesn't deservce child support. I don't know her, I don't know her situtation. But I do know that I raise 2 kids making alot less then what she is getting in child support from the one kid.

But Matt and Blake should pay as much as they can to support the children you just had to watch were the money goes at times.
