Blake tours Duke facilities, talks up Capel

I have no problem with that. Seems that Capel was indeed a good mentor for Blake - proof is in the pudding.

Would not surprise me in the least if Coach K retiresin 3-4 years and Jeff takes over.

I think that I would give Blake credit for the way Blake has turned out. Then mayby his family.

Capel obviously had an impact on Blake, or he wouldn't keep talking him up. I think I will take Blake's word over anonymous internet posters.

Well mayby. But, It isn't like Blake was rescued from some street gang entrapment. And that Capel helped raise him up from drug addiction, poverty and a broken home. Blake is a good kid that likes his old coach. i don't see any breaking news here.

That would be amazing and it just might happen. If Coach K does another few years, Capel would be in a good position. He would have several years at Duke as an assistant and player, plus signficant head coaching experience.

Lol, no kidding. Especially with some of the ones around here.

So you have to come from the "ghetto" to learn anything from a coach? My God, please tell me you're not serious.

I'll have to re-read it. But, I think I said"Blake is a good kid that likes his old Coach."

Jeff taught Blake nothing....

I agree with this.

It's not like Blake came to OU with the skillset of James Mayden. He was uber-talented the day he stepped on campus and as others have intimated he came from a good family which helped him to be motivated to succeed and succeed the right way with hard work.

I have always been a quasi-Duke fan and I'd hate to see Capel get that job. However, I don't think anyone in Durham is this stupid. I would imagine Wojo, Collins, and maybe even Mike Bray are in front of Capel. I would also put Amaker and maybe even Johnny Dawkins in front of Capel.

Agree Capel would be way down the list for that job.
