Blake tours Duke facilities, talks up Capel

I'll have to re-read it. But, I think I said"Blake is a good kid that likes his old Coach."

The PLEASE enlighten me and tell me what was the point of including the fact that Blake did not come from a impoverished, broken household.

To me, the biggest change in Blake from his freshman to his sophomore year, was in his ability to control his emotions. I suppose Capel deserves a certain amount of credit or that, but I don't know if I would give him more credit than Blake's father, Taylor or the guy he worked with in California.

It certainly appears is Capel is trying to 'use' Blake's friendship and I'm not sure if that is 100% ethical or not.

Really? How so? Did Capel make Blake stand up for him on Twitter when he got fired? Did he make Blake do that interview? Just wondering...

Jeff Capel is not a good coach. That is really all I have to contribute at this point.

Of course not.

I can't even watch the interview because the speakers on my laptop don't work. But the subliminal message of an interview of Blake touring the Duke facilities and talking up Capel is if you go to Duke, Coach Capel will turn you into the next Blake Griffin. Hopefully, that's just the PR department of Duke at work.

Quin Snyder will be the head coach at Duke before Jeff Capel.

It so sad that it makes people mad that one of the greatest players in OU history is fond of the coach that led OU to one of the greatest seasons in OU history. I for one am happy for Capel at Duke and Blake in the NBA and I wish them both well and wish we still had them both.

That being said, I'm on board with Kruger. I Just hope he around long enough to accomplish something. BOB's signature pic in black and white of him coaching in the Big 12 in the 1920's always reminds me that he's no spring chicken and would likely have rather coaches a couple more years in Vegas and retired than come to OU and deal with the aftermath of Tiny Gallon. I dont expect him to be here long. I bet he makes a bunch of money in just a couple of years and then moves back to Vegas.

In the meantime it will be nice to see Clark, Pledger, Fitz and the gang finish out their careers in a good way. I hope Kruger helps them to do that. I think he will.

Interesting. I think Coach K would disagree with you, but I'm sure you know more than him about college basketball.

Yea, and Eddie thought his kid was a good coach. Even though there is ample evidence to the contrary. Capel and the Sutton kid could probably both do quite well on some X's and O's test. But there is more to it than that. Isn't there? Capel failed as the head coach at Oklahoma. Didn't he? Like Sean, he could probably do some of the task as a head coach pretty good. But, Capel could not do everything well enough to be a head coach. And now he isn't. As it should be.

Sean following Eddie is quite a bit different than Coach K hiring Capel:ez-roll:

And somebody said that Capel wasn't a good coach. That's pretty funny seeing how Coach K hired him
