I haven't watched them play but figured some Thunder fans had. Is this just a fast start that will fade or do they have staying power?

I think they are a prentender. I don't see how they have really improved much

I was going to make a post about them, tout them, etc.. But I like Portland so I didn't.

Similar to what OKC does. They have 2 superstar level players in Aldridge & Lilliard. Their supporting players like Matthews and Batum are hitting a lot of open 3's, created by the two main guys causing defenses nightmares.

OKC relies on KD/Westbrook as the main options, and when the others perform they are hard to beat. Portland is similar in that they need the big 2 to play lights out every night. Aldridge has become almost unstoppable, and Lilliard is a future all-star PG. I believe the Thunder have a better supporting cast, and the Thunder bench trumps theirs by far, but Aldridge alone causes a match-up nightmare for many teams.

Don't know how far Portland will go, but they should be taken serious. Probably a couple of bench players away.....
