The Bobcats added four players to the preseason roster by the end of the first practice - Taylor Griffin (brother of Clippers star Blake Griffin), Will Blalock, Ismail Muhammed and Ronald Dupree.

What are the chances he actually stays on the active roster and doesn't get waived?

I sure hope Taylor gets another shot. He definitely has the goods when it comes to being a great athlete with an NBA body.

One has to wonder how good he could have been if he had been able to work on his handles and his perimeter game when he was in high school? Unfortunately, his size and great hops made him more valuable at a post position. That didn't change much while he was at OU. He made limited progress toward more of a face-up, perimeter game in the last year or two. But he never really developed the kind of skills necessary to step right into a two or three spot in the NBA. Hopefully, he has used his time wisely during the off season to develop those skills.

still on the clippers as he was ever second of last season ..

Well, second round draft picks typically don't get anything but a one year deal. So I figured that he would be competing for a spot on the roster again. With the addition of Billups and how over loaded the Clippers are on guards anyway I thought he might have been cut.

So have you actually seen that Willie inked another contract for this season?

I bet if you asked Blake who made him as good as he is, I bet he'd say it was playing with Taylor growing up.

No doubt. Having a talented older brother forces you to be good. If you want to play with your brother and his friends you have to be able to play a couple of years above your age. Presumably the better your brother is, the better his friends are too.

Can you imagine those two guys getting in fights as kids? Those are some big boys that are highly competitive. I can't imagine their mother trying to break them up in junior high school.

Totally agree. Taylor Griffin is in the the top 1% of basketball players on the planet....Blake just happens to be in the top .999%. I'll also add this, for all of the awesome plays that Blake has had as a Sooner and in the NBA, Taylor had a block against TU as a Sophomore that I'd throw out as more impressive athletically, it was the most amazing block I've personally seen.

When Taylor got mad, he played like his brother. Glad he is getting another shot.

I always thought that Taylor had the ability to play somewhere in the NBA. There are a lot of teams that need a good defender, rebounder, and passer. And, he can score given the chance. I see too many POS in the NBa that aren't nearly as good as he is(whether he went to OU or not).

I'd like to see Taylor give the NFL a shot!! To me he'd make the perfect TE in the mode of Gates, Gonzalez and now Jimmy Graham... He is the perfect size and athletic ability. Reminded me of a bull in a china closet sometimes! I think CJ and Honore should try out after the season too! We're short on TE's! To me it's a great opportunity for a guy to get a second shot at the pro's that isn't talented enough to make the NBA.

Depends on your definition of "on the Clippers." He was sent to the D-League and recalled twice during the season.

he was on the NBA LA Clippers 15 man roster for every second of last season ..

and he signed a 2 year deal after he was drafted

the boat has passed on NFL for taylor most likely .. but there is litte doubt that he was playing the wrong sport ...

6'5+ 245 athlete .. he should have been playing TE

Love Taylor, but there really isn't a position for him unless he's drastically improved his skillset from the perimeter.

People's hate for WW often blinds the truth.

how can you be sent to the d leauge twice but still be on the clippers 15 man roster every second of the season? maybe i just don't understand how the d league works
