ESPN RISE today revealed the complete roster for the fourth annual Boost Mobile Elite 24 event, the nation's premier elite high school boys basketball event for underclassmen.



New Yorker Doron Lamb has been added
Featuring 24 of the top high school basketball players from across the nation, Boost Mobile Elite 24 players are selected by a committee of high school basketball experts. Players are selected based on their performance at AAU tournaments and national summer camps.

The second set of 12 players selected for the 2009 Boost Mobile Elite 24 features class of 2010 stand out, point guard Kyrie Irving from St. Patrick's (Elizabeth, N.J.); and from the class of 2012, power forward DaJuan Coleman from Jamesville-DeWitt (DeWitt, N.Y.), and power forward Perry Ellis from Wichita Heights (Wichita, Kan.). Additionally, shooting guard Dion Waiters from Life Center (Burlington, N.J.), shooting guard Doron Lamb from Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), who played in the ESPN RISE National High School Invitational earlier this year; and center Josh Smith from Kentwood (Covington, Wash.) will make consecutive appearances this year. Including previously announced players Jared Sullinger and Tristan Thompson, the total of second time players in the 2009 event totals five.

Of the second set of revealed players, three of them have committed to colleges, Dion Waiters to Syracuse, Terrence Ross to Maryland and Myck Kabongo to Texas; making a total eight of the Boost Mobile Elite 24 players to have committed, including - Austin Rivers to Florida, Jared Sullinger to Ohio State, Kendall Marshall to North Carolina, Tristan Thompson to Texas, and Will Barton to Memphis.

The 2009 Boost Mobile Elite 24 consists of players that represent 16 states: Florida - 1; Iowa - 1; Kansas - 1; Maryland - 2; Nevada - 2; New Hampshire - 1; New Jersey - 3; New York - 2; North Carolina - 1; Ohio - 1; Oregon - 1; Pennsylvania - 1; Tennessee - 1; Texas - 1; Virginia - 3; and Washington - 2.

The event, previously scheduled for Saturday, August 22, has been moved to Friday, August 21 at New York City's Rucker Park, 7 p.m. E.T. and will be televised on tape delay Saturday, August 22, 7 p.m. E.T. on ESPNU.
 
It is great that they changed the date as it will allow some of those guys to make in to OU's top performers Camp on the 22nd.
