we talked about trying to drag Pearl here earlier this season. many seemed against the idea since he had scraps with the ncaa.

FYI - even John Wooden had scraps with the NCAA.

KNOXVILLE (WVLT) -- Bruce Pearl's future at Tennessee is still up in the air, according to statements made by Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton during an interview on WNML.

Hamilton said he isn't sure whether Pearl will be the Vols' coach next season.

"We don’t know the answer today," Hamilton said. "We’ve done a lot of soul searching about the direction of our program and we’ll continue to do that and we’ll decide after we’re out of the NCAA Tournament what direction it is that we’re going to go next.

"That’ll be a decision we make in the short term or we’ll wait and make it a little bit further down the road," Hamilton said. "But the jury is out on what’s going to happen with that at this point. … He knows that, by the way."

Pearl has been working without a contract since the old deal was nullified after he confessed to lying to the NCAA.

I don't care about the NCAA stuff because the NCAA is so hypocritical anyway. You never can tell what they call cheating, they haven't ever done anything with Saben or Calipari and we know they are cheating left and right.
