We didn't win, but that has to be one of the best performances I've seen. A 48 point game in a 1 v 1 match-up on the road is an all-time great performance. I really wish we'd gotten over the hump to win it, but Buddy deserves a lot of praise for that game.

He's a star. He had to do that while being face-guarded. I know he wanted that one bad.

He's awesome. Really taken the next step. For sure nba player and i can't wait to see it

He's a great shooter that could have more open shots had Cousins hit more than 14% of his shots. KU left Cousins open all day, knowing he wasn't hitting a lake. They went strong double teaming Hield, but he made his quota.

Hield needs to work on his passing and turnovers, which were silly at best. He knows that and that's easy to correct. Just don't pass the ball blindly behind you as that won't work in the NBA. It didn't against KU today.

Other than, Hield is a great player that needs Cousins to be better to truly showcase his talent.

46 points on 23 shots is outstanding

Is Buddy going to be the model player for returning for a senior year? After a great junior year that he wins Big 12 POY, he's exponentially better this year! Unbelievable! Glad he's a Sooner!

Here's the type of player Buddy is: The KU crowd gave him a standing ovation as he exited the floor.

Holy crap I didn't realize it was only 23 shots. Against the number one team, on the road, against a conference opponent, and on a big Monday game is incredible.

Buddy got everything except a mid-range game. He would not have made those turnovers if he had a mid-range game. He drove and instead of stopping to shoot. He made careless passes on all of those turnovers when he saw it was too crowded inside. That's why Kobe Bryant was good, he would drive and stop on a dime to shoot a mid-range shot when he saw that he couldn't finish inside.

And he still says "sir" when he is being interviewed....love that! What a class act!:OU-logo:
