McNeace hits just 48% of his free throws, not much higher than Azubuike, but if KU had tried the same thing on him, I have to believe he'd have done better than 1-7 on the game.

Probably, but Kruger would definitely replace him with Lattin.

I will stand up for about 50% of the Kansas fans. I mentioned in another thread that I invested about 10 minutes out of my life last night on the Phog to see if their fans were really as nuts as their reputation (let's say it's CONFIRMED). One of the fans started a thread about the rule change, and some did agree. However, I also enjoyed reading the opinions from those who did not agree. One in particular was something like this: "Stop proposing rule changes every time we lose a game! Just make the free throws and we win!"



Man, they really are much worse than our football fans.

You got me curious so I took a look. Yes, we are nice over here comparatively. Lots of F bombs during the game plus some personal attacks on Trae. Also a few idiots who claim Trae is not very good, although most people shot them down.

Good posters, too. They didn’t like it because they couldn’t make the rules, namely embrace Jayhawks like they were part of the family. In other words, they wanted the reverse of what you would find on a KU board then or now. [Kinda like the the rule changes Jayhawks are calling for now when the rule in place didn’t work in their favor.]

When those posters were told it didn’t work that way on an OU board, the two posters who were basically regulars here back then, left and never came back.

Really good article here about Self's strategy & why he left Azubuike in the game. It's a different perspective than I think most of us (and most of the KU complainers) considered.
