too bad he was the team cancer.... oh well.
That was such a weird transfer. Wasn't he one of the team leaders in scoring at 20 or so minutes a game when he quit?
He quit on us when he was an integral part of OUr team and he was badly needed ,so I personally don't give a rat's rear end what he does.
fifyhe would be a good addition to this team. To bad he quit on us.
Was he or did he just want a different role than what coach Kruger wanted him to have? Kruger was playing him a lot for a "cancer". I suspect if he was a cancer he would not have played a single minute for coach Kruger. You have to recognize that coach Kruger is not trying to be friends with these guys and will run this basketball team even if it means OU loses every game on the schedule.
APPARENTLY HE IS HAVING ISSUES AT UCF AS WELL.i FLIPPED PAST TONITE'S GAME VS RUTGERS JUST AS THEY SAID THAT NEWELL HAD BEEN LEFT HOME BY THE COACH. HIS PRODUCTION HAD DROPPED AS THE SEASON WENT ON.LAST I CHECKED HE WAS SHOOTING 43% FG ,26%,3PT,59.7%FT,AND HAD NEARLY AS MANY TO'S AS ASSIST(3.1/2.7).i guess THERE WAS A REASON LON RELEASED HIM.too bad he was the team cancer.... oh well.

No surprise, really. When a player gives a coach a choice of promising him a starting position or give him his release, only a fool would make that promise.
Calvin obviously didn't fit in or a savvy coach like Kruger would have found a way to make it work. Looks like he had it right. Too bad, too, because he had a lot of potential.
Did he do that? I don't recall that being said when he transferred.
