Looks like the light has really turned on for this guy. I've been critical of him because of how talented he's shown to be at times in the past just to not really do anything for many games. But if he keeps this up he could be a 1st team All Big 12 guy this year. His he's been so explosive. Still a long ways to go, and he needs to keep up his play. But he's definitely been a pleasant surprise for me this year.

Nick, I agree with everything you said. I have also been highly critical of Cam at times. The potential has always been there. He just hasn't taken advantage of his God-given talent and athleticism to play at a high level on a consistent basis. I'm happy to say, he's doing that this year!

What is it about seniors? Just when you begin to think they won't be missed next season, the light comes on to make you realize how wrong you were. :facepalm

I've probably been as critical of Cam as anybody, but he is playing great right now. No way he can continue shooting at this torrid pace, but he has certainly been on fire early this year.

I think that there is mounting evidence that players get better under Kruger. I also doubt that Cam continues to make shots at his current high pct. Very few ever have. But, Cam has developed into a good shooter and I would bet that he ends the season with a good shooters pct.

Quick tidbit on Cam: He currently sits at 900 career points, so unless he gets hurt he should easily join the 1,000 point club at OU.

He will definitely cool down from 3...BUT:

He shot 51% from the floor last year (he's shooting 53% right now) and is absolute money from mid-range. He shot 47% from the floor as a freshman.

I think he can keep it up.

The light came on for Ro Osby last year in a similar way... During the back half of the season he couldn't miss. Maybe it's as simple Coach K convincing the seniors step up.
