I think he settled for way too many jump shots tonight, and when the shots aren't falling...we saw the result. I'd like to see him attempt to get to the basket and either get to the line or draw and dish. A lot of those jumpers he took were guarded as well. Tough to shoot a good % shooting guarded jumpers.

On the other end, I think you can see glimpses of his improvement as an on-ball defender. He's a great fit for Lon's system b/c they like to switch all the guard to guard screens and Cam is able to be effective even when he gets caught on the opposing point guard.

Rough night shooting but he's a great competitor and will have some terrific nights this season.

Like you pointed out, he just needs to play hard and contribute in other areas when the jumper is not falling. He may never develop into a guy who can slash, and may get his points from jumpers, but that doesn't mean he can't become a lockdown defender, and a very competent rebounder.

I still believe he will be a good player this yr.....

I hope it doesn't turn into the same as last year. Seemed like he would be a slasher get to the basket one night, Then forget where the basket was the next night. I hope he's not the type of player that will just tear your hair out watching him, he's just so talented.

This.

Does anyone know if Cam has been sick? He wasn't himself last night. Am I the only one who noticed that he stayed on the perimeter instead of following most of his misses? He wasn't his usual aggressive self on defense either. I have no idea why? But that was not his best performance, that's for sure. If his legs weren't there for some reason, that could explain why he was 1-10 from the field and snagged only 3 rebounds.

I saw one player sitting on the floor instead in a chair. Was that Cam? I though he was moving as if he back was bothering him a little bit.

if Cam is healthy then there is no reason that both Blair (6 reb) and Grooms (6 reb) out rebounded him. With his size, jumping ability and athleticism he should do a better job crashing the boards.
