Both of these guys were struggling, and then when they stopped struggling they had these things to say:

“Me and my father talked about slowing my hands down,” Pledger said.

After his 26 points, Clark was asked about his improvement:

"Me and my Dad had that long talk where we both said I wasn’t playing my best and that I need to go out there and prove myself. That’s the main thing."
-Cameron Clark

Well, at least their dads are teaching them technique and getting them mentally prepared to compete, lol.

Threads like this are why this message board is fun.

lol, what a reach.

Don't know if that directly correlates to Capel but it does show the importance of being a involved and supportive Dad!

Maybe Pledger and Clark are trying to tell Capel he needs to be talking to his dad?

Well...scratch that...his dad was a very mediocre coach. Maybe Rick Pitino, Krzyzewski, or Roy Williams is his godfather? :ez-laugh:

Sounds like you need to have a heart-to-heart with your dad, abd.

I can't wait for the first positive post of the year so abd can attribute the change in his philosophy to said heart-to-heart with pops.

not only do you talked about capel, now you're talking about the man's dad. This is a low point for this board and it needs to stop.

How is he talking bad about his dad??
He is giving his dad props for helping his son out...If capel cannot coach him why not the dad...

This is actually a valid point ABD is making. Both of these players have attributed their improved play to conversations with their father.

It kind of tells me that Capel is riding these guys pretty hard. Hopefully Capel recommended they speak with their dads to talk about all the things they were taught growing up to remind them what made them the players they are.
