Cameron Clark, Steve Pledger, and coaching.

This is actually a valid point ABD is making. Both of these players have attributed their improved play to conversations with their father.

It kind of tells me that Capel is riding these guys pretty hard. Hopefully Capel recommended they speak with their dads to talk about all the things they were taught growing up to remind them what made them the players they are.

I could be wrong here, but arent both of their dads coaches? I thought Pledgers dad was a coach, but im not sure.

Seems like the most plausible explanation I've read.

It's a shame Father's Day isn't during the season...

Well, at least their dads are teaching them technique and getting them mentally prepared to compete, lol.

I think we all know what point abd was making. But, hey, I'm glad these kids have dads that can help them with their games.

It seems to me both abd and boca are stretching things a bit. I don't really think it is a valid criticism of Capel or an endorsement of Capel. I would prefer to judge Capel on his record.

It's hard to tell who is being serious, but this is dead on. It's like a kid that played golf at OSU back in the day. His dad might be able to tell him a little tip in a way that makes since while Holder wasn't able to convey it that way. Does not mean that Holder wasn't a good coach.

He just starts thread after thread like this so that he will increase his internet popularity. The reason that he starts so many anti-OU, anti-Capel threads all saying the same thing is because so many people respond. Yes, it has become a joke. But it's not all his fault. We are feeding the monster. We make this board about ABD instead of about OU hoops. Instead of about getting new information, discussing and celebrating OU basketball, it's just a board where people decide whether or not they are on ABD's side about whether or not they should try to run the current coach off.

Wish the board could get back to what it was when it started. Sure would be nice.

Both of these guys were struggling, and then when they stopped struggling they had these things to say:

“Me and my father talked about slowing my hands down,” Pledger said.

After his 26 points, Clark was asked about his improvement:

"Me and my Dad had that long talk where we both said I wasn’t playing my best and that I need to go out there and prove myself. That’s the main thing."

Don't know if it was intended, but you can't compare Holder to Capel in any way except both are coaches at D1 universities in Oklahoma. It ends right there.
